actually, I have already announced my desire to do an Ice-Bucket Challlenge, wherever I can learn of one happening.

SOTD Fri. 4/15/16 Pre Shave Cleanser: Noxzema Classic Pre Shave Oil: DG Vitamin E Shave Soap: Haslinger Coconut Shave Brush: Semogue 620 Boar Razor: Evahs Blade: Personna Lab Blue After Shave Balm: Stirling Mita Soap: Grandpa's Sandalwood & Shea Soap Cologne:1881 by Cerruti Good morning my friends. Today i tried out my new to me Haslinger soap PIF from Joseph aka @Primotenore. buddy, the soap is good but not exceptional. I had to bowl load it because it has a tendency to crumble. I loaded it like i do with all my soaps with a semi dry brush and i dipped my brush tips in the iced water as needed for my desired slickness. It whipped up into a yogurt consistency albeit not as thick as i prefer and it is slick but not as slick as i prefer and although it smells nice it falls short of producing a strong scent. I had a fantastic shave overall and my Evahs performed wonderfully , not a whisker left. Lovely face freeze further enhanced by my MITA balm for a lovely finish. Have a wonderful shave and wonderful weekend folks.
SOTD Sat. 4/16/16 Pre Shave Cleanser: Noxzema Classic Pre Shave Oil: RR Essential Oil of Lime Shave Soap: Palmolive Classic Shave Brush: Semogue 620 Boar Razor: GEM 1912 Art Deco Blade: GEM (2) After Shave Balm: Stirling Mita Soap: Grandpa's Sandalwood & Shea Soap Cologne: Lapidus by Ted Lapidus Good morning everyone. This morning i took the GEM 1912 for another spin. Today i decided to hold the razor on the lower end of the handle and it worked great for me as i like longer handles on most razors, this made the GEM feel more maneuverable and zippy to me. I'm used to more aggressive razors so it took a fair amount of work which resulted in some irritation on my neck area but with my light touch i can't help but wonder if it's the blade? Are these GEM blades the preferred ones? I kind of solved the under the nose wtg issue which was aggravating me by using the large head on the razor to push my nose up out of the way. I ended up with another dolphin smooth shave but again with some irritation...that bothers me. Have a great shave and a great day folks. Ice bucket pic below.
That's what I like to see...plenty of ice makes for a very rewarding shave! Sent from my KFTHWI using Tapatalk
It's wonderful! I add a few cubes to my bowl while soaking my brush and started refrigerating my PSO, Thayers and after shaves. I clean the razor with cold water from the tap but I have a cup of ice water that I use to clean my face between passes.
When I tried it the other day I needed way more ice than I thought. It melted quickly. The ice amount that @Robyflexx showed seems about right! I'll try it again one day soon.
I think that why the cup worked for me. I use a Tervis insulated cup that keeps ice for hours and just pour some into my hands for the rinse
Just the Tervis. I don't particularly like rinsing my razor in a full sink, I prefer running water, so a large cup of ice water is more than enough for rinsing and lathering for me
