Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Blue Tip razor with a Voskhod blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Hello everyone, for tonight's SOTD; 1905 Gillette Double Ring. 1944 Gillette Blue Blade. Kent BLK2 Badger Hair brush. Old Spice shaving Cream. Nivea post shave balm. Old Spice as splash. An amazing shave. After all these years, the WWII blade performed flawlessly. And the Double Ring is amazingly aggressive. I gave myself two nicks that produced blood. This razor/blade combo is an efficient match. It was almost a one pass BBS! But as it stands it was a two pass BBS. Hope you enjoy the photo, God Bless! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks, I restored it with a fan shaped 2 band finest knot. Ive only used it a couple times so it hasn't bloomed much.

well, earlier this evening I said there'd be a "bit" of variety for me this week-but that "V" will be during the first part. Here's my "Boston Marathon" shave for tomorrow. prep-Dial 4 Men Bodywash(in shower) Shave-Edge Gel(Protection from nix and cuts) razor-Pivot + Nation A.S.-Wind Drift by English Leather(via MEM Co.) I love the wooden cap on the English Leather-I know, EL has always had that, but it's part of what makes that A.S. special, I believe.
That Bill Neuman LOOKS cold!! Neumann and Floid are two brands that appeal to me, but too expensive for me at this time.(Of course I DID get some Neumann samples earlier).
It's probably my "funnest" brush at the moment. It looks too cool, the handle is great and the knot is a monster- soft but with plenty of backbone.
Jeff, Doesn't a nice hot towel on your face, followed by oodles of warm, rich lather sound good to you? Ever?
Absolute Zero is about middle of the pack in terms of coldness that I have in my den and yes W&M is on the expensive side but cost per shave is on the low side as little is needed with either the soap/cream and aftershave. Well worth it my opinion especially when they have them on sale. Last year they had the aftershaves # $20 a bottle on one of their sales so bought two AS and the half pound lime & mint rum which was also on sale to take advance of their free shipping to boot.
