Tuesday 4/19/16 shave: Prep: Hot shower, Nivea Face Wash Brush: Omega #11575 Boar Lather: Local Gent Shaving Co. Tobacco Lounge shaving soap Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC Blade: Dorco Prime (2) Passes: WTG, XTG (4, 5) Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Thayer's Witch Hazel pad, Aveeno Active Naturals AS balm Cologne: Jasmin et Cigarette by Etat Libre d' Orange I was a little bit rushed this AM, so I only did two passes. The Omega whipped up better lather from the Tobacco Lounge than last time, so either my technique improved, the puck got better hydrated, or some combination thereof. The Dorco Prime was a bit smoother today than yesterday, though I generally find the 41c more aggressive than the RAKE due to head geometry, so that was largely a wash in terms of comfort. I'd call this AM's results a CCS.
Today's shave! 4-19-16 Razor: E3 Injector w/ personna blade Brush: JR 13 Everything Else: easily noticed in photo lol Had a very close shave today. The only negative was nicking a couple pimples (something I do far too often with any SE razor) The personna blades are very sharp, but to me not as smooth as a Chinese Schick blade (YMMV) Think I'll finish this whole week with this razor, but will probably go for a Chick blade for comfort. Have a great day and good shaves to you all! Almost forgot this
April 19/2016 Razor: Gillette Black Handle Adj., set on 6 Blade:GSB (1) Soap: Italian Barber Pre Shave: Homemade Brush: VDH Badger A/S: Nivea Balm Newspaper Date: Nov. 22,1943 Back on rotation. Good luck to all. Bill
Thanks. BTW do you still want info on the star razor? I just acquired one, it is an original 1950`s razor (gold). It shaves pretty much like a tech or my SS. FYI. Bill

TUESDAY Wostenholm Week, Day 8 — vintage gold IXL frame back; Stirling mentholated soap and Wm. Neumann & Co 'Heartwood' finish. Very nice three-pass shave. Have a great Tuesday, all!
Gold-colored frame on a carbon steel blade. And yes, —I have one of Adam's 'fancier' red latigo strops and I agree with your assessment of his fine craftsmanship!
