Soap Focus All of the stars aligned today and I got my best shave of the month. A Stahly with a Feather blade is hard to beat. Two passes and absolutely dolphin smooth. I'm still rubbing my face 90 minutes later Mike's Natural Soap AoS brush Stahly head on Weber Bulldog handle Feather blade(1) Alum Thayers Witch Hazel PAA Déjà Fougère AS Have fun!
It's an honor to have you aboard as a contributor! Thanks for the first thousand, and best wishes for a few thousand more!
Where do you estimate the Stanly to be in relation to a Fat Boy or Slim, with regard to dial setting?

Gold Bond Ultimate Aftershave: B&M Cologne Russe Fantastic shave. I just love when everything comes together. What defines us is how well we rise after falling.
Beautiful setup Clint! I have and use Lavender Whipped Shea Butter at night before I go to bed, goodness I sound like my wife Clint, how long do you wait from aftershave to Shea Butter? I'll try it later today on my head shave. Thanks in advance. K
Kerry, I wait just long enough for the aftershave to dry down. I only use a very little bit of the whipped shea butter. It really seems to make the AS scent last longer.
My top 5 soaps. Klar/Dusy Kabinnett Route 66 Caties Bubbles RazoRock/IB Gingers Garden * not in order. I picked makers not scent because I love them all.
Thanks, Clint!! I'll give it a go today. I have both the raw and whipped and I definitely recommend the whipped. Plus you can get great scented Shea Butter. K
I agree the whipped just seemed to work better for me. I really like the scented version as I am not to keen on the scent of shea butter.
That's a good question. I'd say somewhere in the middle. This head is a different animal. I'm not sure why it's so dang smooth, but it is. I like it better than my Fatboy at any setting.
April 27, 2016 A month with my Schick Type F. My three weeks with the F were very successful, so I’m using this last week to assess the Type G. Hot Shower Razor:1946-55 NOS G4 Schick 66 Navy (Shave 2) Blade: The FergieFeather Mod (Feather AC Pro - cut to fit) (1) Soap: Route 66 - Barbershop Hop Brush: Stirling Kong TSD Witch Hazel AS: Myrsol Blue Two-pass shave - XTG, ATG Schick '66' with the Mod FergieFeather. This blade has the reputation as one of the sharpest around. In the handful of injectors I've tried it in, it is, by far, also the smoothest and easiest BBS. Nuff said. All hail the Mod FergieFeather, dude! Cheers! RT
Razor: Bunny V3 Blade: Schick Injector (2) Brush: Tres Amigos Desert Ironwood w/Envy White Soap: Captain's Choice Bay Rum A/S: Captain's Choice Bay Rum From @clint64 post. A little backstory on this morning's shave. Three TSD friends were discussing custom artisan brushes which as happens with a group of enablers led to the Tres Amigos brush. After looking a various artisans we talked with Bob at Elite Razor about making a handle shape that he does not normally produce. We decided to pair the handle with an Envy White 2 Band knot from Nathan Clark. The final product is a joy to hold and use. The handle is very ergonomic and the knot has tremendous backbone, good scrub and excellent flow through. You can probably tell by today's SOTD photo that in addition to myself one of the 3 is @Boojum1. The 3rd Amigo will be along later with their posts. Overall I am very pleased with the results of the project but more importantly I will treasure the friendship that led to the brush. It is an amazing brush that creates a ton of lather. @clint64 installed the Envy White to perfection. @Boojum1 and @clint64 where both instrumental in helping bring this project together. I value their expertise and friendship. Another outstanding shave today with the Bunny V3. The Bunny V3 weighs in at 52.7 grams. I thought that not having any knurling on the handle would be a problem with gripping the razor while shaving, but that turned out not to be the case. I believe there is a strong future for the Bunny V3.
I think mine might be ready to try again. its a gooey gelly like swollen paste. I'll pack it in to the container and allow it to dry to firm cream then cap it and keep it there.
A year ago: "I don't know if this is gonna work out... " Now: "Let's mod the sharpest blade we can find and put it in a wide open razor!!!" This is what being a part of 30DC is all about. I love it.
Kerry - That's quite the list.... R66 pops up everywhere! What's the scent profile of Klar? Isn't it discontinued?
Top 5 Soaps: Route 66 Jeeves Soap Captain's Choice RazoRock Eufros I would put Route 66 at number 1, and the rest in no particular order. They are all very good and I would purchase them all again.
