What's up brothers! Has anyone here tried mama bear's shave soap? Any feedback on it? I just bought some out of excitement because I saw they have a drakkar scented one, yes drakkar and yes I'm 26 and smell like an old man. Wifey loves it and so do I. Happy wife happy life lol. Thanks guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have only tried 2 Mama Bear soaps. I had just an 'OK' experience with them. I always had problem with the lather drying on my face....no matter how much water I fed it. Never had that problem with any other. But, I know a few people who loves it. YMMV.
I love Mama Bear's soaps. I've had a few and generally don't have any problems with it drying out unless I have been too stingy with the water. Be careful it is also easy to go the other way and have too much water.
Also if you like Drakkar....Joanna has some for sale in our own TSD shop. Available in pucks or sticks. Click 'Shop' from the menu at the top or follow the link below. http://www.theshavedenshop.com/
mmmh... Drakkar One of my first soaps was Spellbound Woods, but it's been so long. I don't recall much about the performance, just that the soap had a wonderful scent. I moved on to try some of the hundreds of other soap out there.
I love her Czar's Choice AKA lime - cilantro Available either with or without menthol. but due disclosure, I'm the one who got her to make it. The biggest problem with Mama bears is deciding which one to buy.
Good glycerin based soaps. Orders of magnitude better than the VDH, Conk, Taconic, and other common glycerin soaps.
Mama Bears is not a bad soap. I have the British Leather scent, I like how many scents she has to choose from, Ginger's Garden is another soap with a ridiculous scent list, which is nice so you can find exactly the scent you are looking for.
Mama bears was really popular when I started out wet shaving about 7-8 years ago. I tried a couple (mainly the old spice clone) and while it smelled nice it never did much for me performance wise. Middle of the road soap really.
