Did over 700 miles this weekend, looking for ghost towns and ratty old houses & such. Read up on an old bridge that was supposed to have been rebuilt & put back into service back in 2011, but never was.
Local estate auction today. Not much I was after in particular. Picked up a solingen pocket knife with brass scales featuring a hunter and his dog. Also a book on OSS weapons and special equipment during WWII. Rainy day here, so was a good day to go to an auction. There was a christy's razor, but seeing blades are non-existent, I left after the book purchase. There was a nice cherry wood wash stand that went cheap. If I had any where to put it, I would have bid. I had a nice injector shave this am. Undecided what tomorrow's shave set up will be.. Need to close my PiF in an hour or so!
Ugh. Depression really got a handhold on me this weekend, and then I had a gallbladder attack again last night. Not really feeling it today. But I owe, I owe... On a lighter note, I finally got to try out my new waffle maker! Gluten-free waffles are so much tastier when you home make them. I got the waffle iron on sale at walmart for $25 and man is it fantastic. Took less time to cook the waffles than it did to get everything out and mixed to make them!
I hope you get to feeling better soon. We have a waffle maker from Walmart also, you're not kidding about prep vs eating. We love ours.
Had a great weekend. This was taken on one of our local trails yesterday. I so needed a stress free weekend!
Quiet day; bought some groceries and made a buttermilk quick bread. Unfortunately, the hubby isn't feeling great. His elbow (that seemed to be getting better) is sore again. I will take him to the doctor tomorrow.
Decided I should try putting more effort into getting myself out of this funk and being more active again around TSD. Now if only my eyes would cooperate.
I know that feeling. Allergies have had my eyes watery, itchy, etc a lot lately. Never had allergies until my 40s.
