Brisket and burn ends are top notch... Hopefully being raised in bama hasn't made you pork BBQ only kind of guy... Lol The owners are a married couple from Texas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I view BBQ as several parallel disciplines. The area in Alabama I am from is unique in BBQ world, in that hickory/pecan smoked chicken dunked in "white sauce" is the local plate of choice. Google "big Bob Gibson chicken white sauce". And you're right, classical BBQ in the Deep South is pork. Texas BBQ culture is unique, and every bit as good. My faves in TX are the brisket and smoked hot sausage at City Market BBQ in Luling, TX.
This is embarrassing, I have no idea. It was my first nice pipe and I bought it here at the Den from @Weeper Warrior. It is an awesome pipe, looks good, smokes good.
City market is also one of my favorites. Nothing like going into the back room with the smokers and getting your cuts handed to you on butcher paper. I also like the minimal side option. The focus is on the Meat.
Stanwell calls it Trio. It is sandblasted except for the rim of the bowl which is smooth. Dark chestnut finish on the sandblasted parts with a natural cherry finish on the smooth. Most of the shapes in the Trio series are nice but the 95 shape (Banjo maybe...What it reminded me of anyway) really pops because of the large rim it has on it. Glad you are enjoying the pipe, Keith.
Up first: Evening Gaucho Pipe Parker Jockey Club with Capstan Blue Ready Rubbed, Itapua Trading Co Yerba Mate, Bombilla by Simonaggio, Br. All-Wessex late night pipe is the plan....
A.J.'s VaPer in a new Michal Novak rare wood pipe. I'll post pics sometime tomorrow hopefully. I was across town and not far from The Briary, so I dropped in. Michal Novak, a Czech pipe maker, was there along with a major U.S. importer of Peterson, Savanelli, GBD, Graco, and most other big names. It's quite a treat, at least to me, to meet some of the pipe makers. I've now had the opportunity to meet Peder Jeppensen, of Neerup pipes, Eric Nording, Erik Stokkebye, of 4th Generation and great grandson of Erik Peter Stokkebye, and now Michal Novak. Buying a pipe from one of them in person makes it a little more special to me.

Got some new Baccy today... Anyone tried the Peterson Irish Whiskey?! Did i get a good one? Greetings Thorsten
9mm filter pipe with Bullseye flake. Very nice with the Carbon filter in. Loads more Vitamin N than I remembered. I had to pause in the middle for a min. I haven't been smoking that much lately and I guess my body is forgetting what Nicotine is.
