Two passes and touch ups with the Baili BD179 TTO razor with a Gillette Wilkinson Sword blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Pinaud Lilac Vegetal. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I am currently getting a set of Naniwa Super stones together..I was a Wee Bit Canny Honing this SR..I had to Do One Extra Pass to get the usual results I would Normally get from a Professionally Honed Blade..I have never Shaved with such a Small Blade either..Not quite as Smooth or Keen Edge as I am used to but I had a Darn Close & Irritation Free Shave Tonight.. Nach meiner Meinung sind die Voskhod Klingen die Beste aus Russland. Keine andere Marke kann sich mit ihnen in der Langlebigkeit vergleichen. Leider sind diese Schätze in Kanada nicht verfügbar - damn!
Yes. Just got this in on a pass around, different forum and first shave will be tomorrow. Really light. Going to test as is then with a heavier handle to see how much of a difference there is going heavier. First time out the gate with the Aladdin Spice and at first not sure if I liked the scent when I rubbed some aftershave on my wrist but upon dry down, oh yeah I like this one.
WEDNESDAY Evening Shave for Tomorrow Some vintage Solingen steel for tonight's shave—F. W. Engles 'LEADER'— a large full-hollow blade that is oh-so-smooth and quite loud. After shaving with silent Sheffield wedges for a few days, its a big change! One of the 'easier' razors to use that I own—despite it's size of the lightweight, round-pointed blade. Wonderful shave! Have a great Hump day, everyone!
Back to the wedges. Day 8 was celebrated with the Nordic Beauty again but with a different blade. Each shave continues to get better and better. The harshness is smoothing out and difficult areas are starting to cooperate. They are far more demanding of attention and technique than other SEs but I am enjoying that aspect. When you get a stroke that is right you really know it. I can see where this will be a whole different shaving experience as these become default. I haven't been posting shaves because I was doing simple 2 pass shaves which still leave a lot of hair. I decided to do a night shave and it went well. A few weepers along the neck line. But I'm smooth. A little irritation but that's from me chasing the baby. The initial lather was too wet and airy. I had to start over, but the soap was good. Still not as slick. So far the sterling soap has been the slickest for me. Ive been using the sample I got in a trade and I'm diggin the scent and performance of the sterling soap.
