I'd suggest a Schick Adjustable. With a twin blade it is a fantastic shave. After that you can decide if you want to walk more on the wild side or mild side and choose which direction in the Schick alphabet you want to go. :D

:signs011: That's how it went for me as well!

I didn't get into this to become a collector either. But getting great shaves with one and then reading about great shaves others are getting with different models, puts you on a path to see if there is something a bit better and eventually to try them all.

I prefer "being satisfied with what I have" but exploring a pleasing pastime is gratifying as well.

I expect in time I will settle in with just a few and then thin the herd....not anytime soon though.

I never made a conscious decision to become a collector. However, somewhere in the process of acquiring over 100 single edge razors over the past couple of years that seems to be what has happened.

As for your immediate plans, for a second injector I'd look for an early E2. These accomplish the apparently contradictory tasks of being more aggressive than the G type while at the same time being smoother. One of the PAL's might be another option.

For a classic SE pick up a 1912, either Gem or Ever-Ready. You're going to get one sooner or laster so it might as well be sooner. The 1912 is the benchmark against which all other single edge razors are measured, in addition to being a great shaver in its own right.

Last evening we had a family meeting. It was "one of those meetings". The DEs sat on one side of the table, the SEs on the other. We had a frank and open discussion.:duel: The SEs were quite smug in their recent position of privilege :love055: and the DEs were feeling just a bit out of sorts...having been neglected recently :ahem:. Various items were discussed, no unkind words were spoken...just an open and honest discussion.
Ultimately a solution was found: I am going to daily alternate between a DE and an SE razor. :happy096: So this morning I loaded up my Merkur 23c with a new GSB and my Schick Type G with a new Schick blade. Hopefully this will bring calm to the house once more. The final sticking point was: what razor to use today? Who would go first? We flipped a coin and the first shave went to the Schick.
    A great shave this morning.:happy108:

But were you secretly pleased when the Schick won the coin toss? :happy102:

Are the E's more aggressive than the G's?
I just shaved with an E and got bit in a few spots.
