1. Do you know if there a difference between the two razors, they look the same to me. Although one is not as old.

  2. Merkur made Hoffritz back in the day.
Bonus trivia - Mekur also made Grafco.

  3. The Hoffritz Slant was made under a contract with Merkur. I have an old Hoffritz slant and I have used a Merkur 37C. If there is a difference, my face couldn't feel it!
  4. From my understanding the Hoffritz is a merkur slant. The same design has been used for ever. There have been some differences in the cap. But that was what I heard.
  5. I've never heard of a Grafco razor but I think I've also seen a Coles razor that also looked identical to the Hoffritz/Merkur. Interesting, Merkur were obviously selling a lot of slant razors. I do like the Hoffritz case. It would be nice if a new Merkur 37 came in a similarly styled case.

  6. The Hoffritz case does add to it. But so does the white finish :)

  7. My Grafco isn't a slant but an open comb. The head of Mercury stamped on the butt of the handle is a Merkur (German for Mercury) give away.

  11. That slant looks like it has a HUGE handle, does anyone know it dimensions please?
  12. It's not that big. I don't have the dimensions but it's average girth and length.

  13. :happy097::happy102:Lol wow I just realized how that sounded!!
  14. That really made me laugh! Nice one.
  15. That's what I always say! Hahahaha good one. :happy093:

The girth and length shouldn't matter if you know how to use it!
  16. I wonder if it's as big as my Old Type bulldog handle. The size of that surprised me. Compared to a standard Old Type handle, it looks a bit odd. My Slim has a bigger handle but it's also longer and the head is larger, so it's not so obvious.
