What Straight Razor Did You Use Today?

Thanks Mike I think you are right and Michael being a Yorkshire Man and a traditional craftsman with a direct link to to old Sheffield, this one is definitely a homage to the Wade & Butcher FBU with a slightly modern twist, I like to think those old makers would approve of Michael's work, his knives are extremely nice may need one of them in the not to distant future.

I had my Maiden Shave this Morning with my Extra Hollow Ground Gael Solingen 6/8th..It Sliced through a Few Days of Cast Iron Whiskers at Ease..It has a Wicked Sharp but very Smooth Edge..My understanding is that this SR is a Posh Version of the Famous Gotta Solingen 6/8th..I am Dolphin Smooth & Refreshed..

got the gold dollar from bangood yesterday. was a fun learning experience to hone it. i have naniwa 8k and 12k so all work was done with dose.but now it shaves like any other razor.be fun to see hove good it retain the edge.

 

Well, I ran my Charles Adam "faultless" over the hone a few more times last night and had gotten a better shave with it this morning. I know that it's not perfectly honed, but it is quite useable and I did get a DFS with it this morning.

I'm a big fan. Point is excellent for getting into the nooks and crannies. The laser engraving is very nice, as is the general fit and finish. Feels great in the hand. The only possible criticism is that the steel may be a bit soft and require more regular honing than some of my other straights, though apparently not sufficiently enough to make me actually bother to collect data points.

I can recommend it without reservation

 

Fantastic shave this morning. Two passes and almost BBS. I'm not going to chase the baby yet with a straight, but I'd be happy with this shave any day
