    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Chinese Schick
    Razor: Schick G1 Injector
    Brush: Omega 10049 boar
    Lather: VDH Luxury scented
Post: Witch hazel splash, Fine American Blend, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Nice shave again this morning with this combination. New Chick blade felt nice and sharp, very smooth. The G1 went right through beautiful VDH lather compliments of the Omega boar brush. One big pass and touch-up around the neck and jaw and I'm satisfied and ready to go.

Fine American Blend is such a good scent! I only have a sample of it so have to use it a little sparingly. Really smells good.

Hope you all have a great day!

Razor - 1959 Gillette Super Speed
    Blade - sharp-star.jpg (1)
    Brush - BoS Omega 10066
    Soap - Tabac
    Post - Alum, The Veg

It's a TIME OUT day today. I had forgotten that today is an early day for me. The CEO of the company and a few other top dogs are in town this morning for an early morning meeting. Early as in 7:45 early. So, due to the fact I'm out of bed a couple of hours before normal, and my face is still pretty smooth since I shaved at noon yesterday, I'm calling a time out for the day on the MAYhem shaves. And, of course, since it's a WILDCARD shave, no way was I going to rush it or risk injury before this morning. So, a quick two pass with the Super Speed and a Sharp Star blade gets me somewhere between DFS and BBS and that's good for the day.

Now, as for tomorrow, it will still be the WILDCARD shave from @English expat....and without further delay, here is Thursday's shave -

Razor - Gillette 1918 Old Style
    Soap - Marvy
    Brush - Omega 10066
Blade - Yeah, you've been waiting. It's the TIGER

As bad as yesterday was with the Rapira and even as bad as the Soyuz 1/Blendax was, I fully expect tomorrow to be absolutely miserable. But, it's MAYhem! Need I say more?

With my fate now sealed on that shave it's time to give a holler to @mrchick to choose for Friday. You know the drill sir. 1-15 for blade and razor, 1-6 for soap, 1-7 for brush. With the streak I'm on this week I'll be hiding under the desk until I see what you and the shave gods choose.

Have a great day everyone. I may be a bit scarce today but I'll catch up later.

Shower- Noxzema facial cleaner, Dr. Bronner's All-One Hemp Peppermint bar soap
    Brush- RazoRock Tri-Colored

    Blade- Lord (1)
    Soap- Italian Barber Amici
Thayers Witch Hazel with grapefruit EO
    AS- Florida Water with M-Bomb

Horrible shave this morning. I do not like this blade. It tugged from the first stroke. I finished the pass but that was it. One pass total, it's good enough for today but it was a waste washing all this beautiful lather down the drain. First try with the Amici and I'm very impressed. Lather beautifully and smelled great, I'm going to have to try it with a better blade. Have a great day folks!

  9. Sorry about the bad shave, I had the same feeling about shark blades (they are also made by Lord). From the reviews that I've read it seems like the Lord platinum class may be the only one worth its salt.

  10. Oh No! Not the Tiger! :signs136:
  11. Good to know about the Shark, I have some, probably won't be using them
  12. My experience with the Lord Platinum hasn't been much better than Shark

    MAYhem 18th, 2016.

    Full Head and Face Shave.

    Razor: CJB Pain Stick
    Blade: Kai Captain
Brush: Razorock 24mm Finest Badger 2 Band
Lather: Stirling Executive Man Shaving Soap
Post Shave Face & Head Care: Maggard Alum Block/ Thayers Medicated Superhazel
Aftershave: Tears & Stirling Executive Man Aftershave Splash

Getting into the final weeks of MAYhem and I am feeling the effects of the carnage so far but this is the month where Men are made (only because you cant seeing me crying like a child on my laptop) so I will carry on. I was asked by SWMBO when the last time I had a blood free shave was and I had to embrace Rose from Titanic...

    87.jpg

Full head and face shave today. 3 pass on the face and scalp only going ATG resulted in a mosquitos fantasy. There was so much blood I had to tell the Red Cross to go away I wasn't donating, just shaving. On the face I am BBS with no nicks or irritation but my neck looks like hamburger (Struggle with the angle on the neck with the CJB) and is a DFS.

You ever wear a live raccoon on your head as a hat? If so you will already know how my scalp looks. The tops of my head and around the ears are fine but the back of my head looks like I shaved with meat cleaver. I gouged myself so good I went to drop the CJB and it stuck in the back of my head for a good 3 seconds (yes I am ok just the edge of the blade dug in) I wont even rate the head as I don't think a low enough number exists. I am so use to skewering myself lately the alum pretty much is a tickle now. Thayers calmed down what it could but it had a tough job and at this point I don't even think Dr. Phil could help at this point. Splashed on some Stirling Executive Man AS and quickly decided that I would rather kick a sleeping bear in the teeth wearing a meat suit then put anything alcohol based on a shave this bad ever again.

  19. Don't feel bad... like you said we do this to ourselves... so sit back, grab some popcorn, and enjoy the fact that you are not butchering yourself for fun. Also you can laugh at us. After the past 18 days I don't think words can hurt me any worse then I can hurt myself.
