How about "cornmeal breaded catfish"? Close enough? River sushi...not really a "thing", yet. (Disclaimer: I am not a doctor, but I am a redneck who has seen some stuff. Don't eat raw freshwater fish. Ever. Don't. Seriously.)
No, still keeping the faith. I just had a bit of a sabbatical. I realized that I had acquired so much stuff, I was making it too complicated. I packed up the most of it, and took a bit of a break from the temptations and re-centered myself.
Just got it in today Bama Samurai along with some other goodies I'll talk about later. but it is in near flawless condition, I enjoyed shaving with it tonight.
I have done that also, of sorts. I've done nothing but a series of these 30Day things in 2016. Everything I've been using is on a "love it or PIF it" basis. Haven't bought anything for my collection since last December, and have had a blast actually learning each tool.

We've had a few exit while in the process of joining. But we don't like to talk about that. Kind of like the early Soviet space program. Yeah, sure, Yuri Gagarin was the "first man in space". Just ignore the evidence for others who went before him but, ummmmm.....just didn't come back. Or make the official record.
I was a very fortunate receiver of a wonderful gift today and felt like I hit the lottery of DE razors. I was with my Dad earlier today dropping off some stuff at a place called FISH. It's a Christan thrift store, and met a elderly lady dropping off some stuff too. They were going through the items she brought and one of them said they could not take some of it. The lady said "oh" and it was a bunch of old safety razors. The lady said well I don't know what to do with them, they were her husbands that passed away a year ago. I told her I didn't have any money on me or I'd buy them from her. She told me just to take them if I would use them. I thanked her and assured her I would. In the box was a Fat Boy in the case, a slim, a black beauty, a super speed, a ball end tech, as Schick krona in its case all in great shape except the ball end. It's in good shape just the top cap the gold plating is worn off. I was so struck by the gift I didn't even think to get her name. So you will see some of them in upcoming posts.
