  1. Yes it could have. At least the Tiger and 1918 are on the sideline.

  3. Kai!!!
  4. Doesn't look normal in print either...but ok. ;)
  5. So, just to clarify, I agree with him too. That helps, right?

  7. Obviously what is needed here is a Russian Artist Club blade.
  8. In Soviet Russia, the blade selects you...
  9. I couldn't agree more! I keep inquiring but getting answers from Russia is a bit like pulling teeth from a hen. I seriously doubt any are being made, but it's the eerie silence that keeps me asking more people and digging for the truth.

  10. In my case I was selected by Voskhod, Ladas, and Gillette Yellows and Blues.
  11. You take our eggs and now you want our teeth?!?!? May God have mercy on your soul because we will not!!!!

  12. Not too shabby. GSB, Voskhod and a mystery blade chose me.
  13. In Soviet Russia, the truth just might dig for you...

    Cold water 3.gif

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: GEM Stainless PTFE
    Razor: GEM Featherweight
Brush: Artisan badger with hand-turned maple handle
Lather: Maggard's Orange Menthol shaving soap
Post: Witch hazel splash, Maggard's Orange Menthol, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, XTG

Woke up a little earlier than normal and therefore had more time to shave! Went with a full two pass shave and it was a good one. The Maggard's products are great. I was impressed with the quality of the soap and the moisturizing aspects of the after shave. The scent is really nice - not sweet or fake orange smell - more like orange rind and zest. Really nice.

The GEM Featherweight and PTFE blade were fantastic again today. I had almost 48 hours of beard growth and it mowed right through all of it in a smooth, comfortable fashion. Really enjoyable and fun razor.

The soap, after shave, and brush are all courtesy of @Drygulch through a PIF and a purchase. The brush is really fantastic and the other products were quite enjoyable too.

I hope you all have a great Monday!

  20. First shave with the Mongoose, used the Kai blade. I was worried this might not be a pick up and go razor, and that it might have a learning curve. Did a wet lather with my Jeeves of Hudson Street soap for an amazing lather. First pass, N/S foucusing on using no pressure. And that's a single pass DFS. Second pass, S/N, almost there. Time to chase the baby, which I don't normally normally do on the first shave with a razor. Caught the little bugger. Overall, an amazing shave. My only complaint with the Mongoose was how often I had to rinse the head. I think my overall shaving technique has gotten to the point where I don't really struggle as much when using a new razor.
