A perfect end to a perfect day.
After smoking a chicken on the grill today what better way to top off the day than with a straight shave.

Love it! Very cool, haven't seen that etch before. Takes most of the guess work out of approximating the date of manufacture!

Vintage Williams Shave Stick! (h/t @RyX)

A fun shave! Need to touch up the blade a bit more for smoothness on the ChromOx, but it's gonna be a keeper!

    Have a great evening!

Just 5 more shaves and you will have reached the mythical 100 shaves.

Dovo Bismark 2 with my new Dry Gulch latigo strop. A big shout out to Adam, @Drygulch . I traded for the strop and my brother was kind enough to let met piggy back on the shipping and get a chance to acquire a Route 66 soap.

I like lurking here and dream of the day I become brave enough to try this method of shaving. For now I will sit in the corner in awe of all you brave souls with the cool looking tools until I give in to my fears.

Give in to the dark side.... we have cookies.

I was scared too and that delayed my start. It looks and feels scary but once you get started your fears are quickly overcome. I recommend starting with a 'real' straight and not a shavette. Surprisingly real straights are more forgiving than shavettes.
