  1. 200 was all I could convince SWMBO we could process. I'll keep working on her. Vodka may help. Any overages you two encounter can be routed through me for processing if large amounts of Vodka/Saki are included as a bargaining tool.

On a lighter note. I have discovered that a SAS is easiest and fastest with canned goo and a CJB. I have lost count as to how many blades this Dorco BB has on it since it is the same one that I used last month for a week. I have since used it to trim the nape of necks during haircuts on the kids, Myself, and random shaves when I was unable to devote time to shaving this month (May). I will continue using it until I notice a decline in performance.

Same setup as last month, but I'll switch out the Cella for DR Harris Marlborough and use Old Spice aftershave.

  3. Very cool. I have been surprised by the Dorco from the first time I tried it. I was expecting a horrible shave, as was the individual who sent them to me. He had no luck with them. Once again, YMMV rises up and bites someone in the butt! I'm thinking I'll start with the Greager and Dorco tomorrow for June. i used it a week ago for a head shave and that blade is still in it, so might as well give it the first week.
  4. Great post.
  5. They didn't see it coming with La Toja, I knew this would work.

    (this post is satire)
  6. So, all razors are the same, after all.

  7. My Plan is SR June 1st, Schick G 2-6, SR the rest of the way home.
I will do another angle focus with @Linuxguile, and encourage any brand newbies to follow his posts. What he is doing is locating angle sweet spot. No more, no less. It's the single most important thing to get right when learning.

    Anyway,

    Barbasol (for science)
    Schick G
My entire inventory of 4 straights
    Veg and/or drug store AS

Also, I plan to spend a little more time writing about routine and how I start and finish my shaves.

    Good luck in June!
  8. So, you mean that all the time I've spent with gear that has no angle sweet spot (I'm talking about YOU Soviet razors) has been the wrong approach?!?!?!:shocked003:
  9. The sound of one hand clapping.
  10. Or in the case of @mrchick and his pain stick, the sound of one cheek flapping.
  11. I'd laugh out loud if that cheek still worked

  12. Maybe if you twerked the other cheeks would clap, y'think?
  13. Reminds me of an episode of Cheers when Norm came in and Coach asked, What's shaking, Norm? He replied, All four cheeks and a couple of chins, Coach. Gimmie a beer.

  14. That's included in this collection......funny stuff

My personal favorite....at the end of the clip

    Jun Focus Day 1:

    Stirling Synthetic Brush
    Arko
    Injector Type J
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Barbasol Brisk AS

First shave of June is done, and it was a great start to the month. This razor is almost an automatic DFS, which makes it great for mornings away from the house. I still can't believe I waited so long to try Arko, as I miss it after a few shaves now. Another thank you to @Bama Samurai for sending me a stick. The stage is set for a great month. I hope everyone has a great day.

  19. Not to shift anyone's attention from their own focus this month, but I'd like to take a moment to make a Public Service announcement:

    http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/support-tsd-raffle-fathers-day-edition.51452/

I encourage everyone to visit this thread and please post if you can. If you're feeling generous, or lucky, then please contribute if you are able. These raffles have been great fun in the past, but this one seems to be off to a kinda slow start post wise at least, the chatter is half the fun!

    Thank you, and carry on..
