SHAVE OF THE DAY Prep: Musgo Real orange amber Razor: Gillette Redtip Blade: Astra SP (4th shave) Brush: RazoRock plissoft Soap: Stirling British Leather Post: Reef Point Aviator balm 2 pass smooth shave early this morning. Went with Stirling soap, love the scent of British Leather. Not sure what I have been doing different, but I have been getting a different consistancy lather latley, no Bubbles and a pastey consistancy. It has been working out well, so no complaints. Finished off with Aviator balm, very nice leather scent and nice menthol touch. Hope everyone has a great shave!
Here we go for Sunday's freeze: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Astra day 7 Stirling Glacial Obsidian SS Stirling Glacial Obsidian AS Balm Fine Snake Bite AS Chabrawichi 555 Cologne I'd call this another ideal setup for a menthol monkey - wow, is it COLD!
Saturday Shower/Shave Shower- Noxzema facial cleaner, Dr. Bronner's All-One Hemp Citrus bar soap Brush- RazoRock Tri-Colored Razor- Muhle R41 on a Maggard MR5 handle Blade- Gillette Silver Blue (2) Soap- TSD Killer Queen lanolin Post Care- Thayers Witch Hazel with grapefruit EO CK One cologne First try of the newest TSD creation Killer Queen today and I loved it. The menthol along with the ice water really helped cool me down, Phoenix is slightly hot today. I also really like the scent and it lathered easily. I'm very glad I purchased it. Second day on the GSB and I don't know if I'm going to find a better blade for the R41. My next shave will be be with a Voskhod. Three passes for a BBS shave. Have a great day folks!
SOTD June 4, 2016 Blade: Personna lab blue Razor: Maggard MR1 with V2OC Lather: Tabac shave stick Brush: Satin Tip synthetic Post: Witch hazel splash, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, touch-up No picture today. Out of town for a family wedding. Pretty good shave. The Tabac lathered up very easily but always seems to dry out on my neck. I probably should use a little more water. First time using a DE is about 5 weeks. I've been on injectors and SEs. I think SEs and injectors are leading in my books. I really like them. Hope you all have a great day!
Razor: BV3 Blade: Schick (1) Brush: Omega 10066 Boar Soap: Eufros Terre Humeda A/S: Myrsol Metilsol Astringent The Bunny V3 arrived yesterday, very well packed and in perfect condition. Thanks @Spud. I used the Notso setting again and it is perfect for me. I find it hard to believe how effortlessly this razor removes stubble. I do my 3 passes with a touch of cleanup and doesn't even feel like I've shaved. Cold water rinse, feel my face, and a darn near BBS, much to my surprise. I know Tom is looking for information to tweak and perfect his razor, but in my opinion, and from my shaves you are already there Tom. To everyone else YMMV. I have re thought my opinion of the rivets and/or screws. I would stick with the rivets.
I knew Arko was good, but I didn't know it offered all day protection! Sent from my Galaxy S6 using Tapatalk
For sure, Tabac can take so much water it is almost a Ripley's Believe it or Not! It lathers up SO quickly when you hit it with the brush, a guy thinks it is ready to go. Spend time one it once; like you are fiddling with Williams again.
Razor: Gillette Super Speed TTO "Red" Flair Tip A3 1955 with the original case, blade pack with instructions. Brush: Vintage Ever-Ready 675 badger Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue Cream: Route 66 Bourbon Jungle Blade: Feather (1) Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black balm, Tommy Bahamas Very Cool Just got this beautiful razor in the mail today and just had to give it a try. This razor looked really nice on the bay, but in real life it looks new. I'm very happy with the whole package. It's a heavy razor, not unlike my FB. Swirled up some Bourbon Jungle into my favorite OS mug. The Ever-Ready 675 whipped up some nice warm lather. The Red Tip made quick work in 2 passes WTG XTG. A little touchup on my neck ATG and done. I'm not sure if I would call it aggressive, it's a lot like my FB on 5. I think I'll keep it. The Cucumber WH felt good, nice and cool. After cleanup some JB and when it dried, some Tommy Bahamas Very Cool, very nice! Y'all have a good one!
Saturday June 4, 2016 Had a great shave today, where my Stirling Gin and Tonic ended up bowl lathered with a TON of M-Bomb in my Captain's bowl that had a bunch of Route 66 Sea and Citrus still pressed into the grooves. The two scents meshed amazingly well, the bomb worked it's magic, and it made a PERFECT lather. Happy weekend, Everyone! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
