Wow, far too much complex chemistry in that method for me. Fortunately as a kid I excelled with Play-doh and find Arko just malleable enough to mold into shape. (Edit - technical glitch. Used wrong quote)
SOTD Sun. 6/5/16 Prep: Burt's Bee's Chamomile & Soap Bark SS: Route 66 Lumberjack SB: Semogue 620 Boar Razor: Schick E2 Blade: Schick ASB: Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill Shower Soap Bar: Grandpa's Pine Tar Cologne: Nautica Voyage Good morning guys. I had such a wonderful shave with my E2 this morning. It's such a fun razor to use with both hands and efficient yet smooth and exacting. Route 66 Lumberjack performed beautifully as always providing more than enough slick cushion for a proper comfortable shave. The Glacial Lemon Chill balm is always a happy ending, oh how it freezes my face and warms my heart. Tomorrow I will be shaving with the N1, I can't seem to get off the injector train......... Have a great day folks. :smile :
There seems to be an injector revival happening Jim, I'm very happy to see so many members giving them a try on their SOTD's. There's plenty of room guys hop on!.............

Razor: AlumiGoose w/Bluebeards Revenge Handle Blade: Feather Professional (3) Brush: Omega 10066 Boar Soap: TSD 2x Iced Oak Moss Sandalwood A/S: Folsom & Co. Capri I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to post after my shave today as a result of the amount of rain we where supposed to get. Fortunately they where wrong. I change from the stock AlumiGoose handle (34.0 grams) to the Bluebeards Revenge Handle (45.8 grams) which made a big difference in the performance of the razor. Had a very close comfortable shave with the heavier handle. Finished with Folsom & Co. Capri. Outstanding finish.
Today's Shave: Sunday June 5, 2016 Above The Tie Bamboo SE1 single edge razor Feather Artist Club Professional blade (1) Shave Revolution Persian Jar Synthetic Brush Stirling Electric Sheep soap Pinaud Clubman Original aftershave First shave ever with the all new SE1, ATT's entry into the Feather AC single edge field. Pretty impressive so far. At a full ounce less than the Mongoose it feels quick and agile in the hand. I haven't made up my mind yet about the Bamboo style handle, but it is comfortable and doesn't slip. The razor has a standard DE thread so other handles may be used if desired. The angle was intuitive, closer to a DE than other SE's. I was able to zip right along without worrying too much about angle, pressure etc. It felt milder than it is, and with my usual 3 passes and no touch-ups I ended up with a near-perfect BBS shave with one tiny weeper and no irritation. More "research" is definitely in order, but so far, so good. --Bob
June 5, 2016 SHAVE DEN SUNDAY Unseasonable hot weather in Seattle = 90+ So I'm choosing another cold water shave. Cool shower, cold water shave. Razor: 1965-80 Schick Type L1/L7 Blade: Schick (China) Brush: Stirling Kong synthetic Soap: TSD Yin Yang, M-bombed TSD Witch Hazel AS: TSD Yin Yang Two-day growth, two-pass shave - XTG, ATG Second shave with the L7, but I decided to try the L1 at the same time since they look very similar. L1 on right side, L7 on left. Great reduction on first pass with both razors. 2nd pass left me mostly dolphin smooth with no touch-ups or buffing. Can someone confirm that all the Type Ls use basically the same head? My face felt very cool for the rest of the hot evening. I may just continue the cold shaves for at least the rest of the summer. Cheers! RT

I just had an amazingly wonderful shave with my N1. Close, comfortable, and effortless. Do yourselves a favor and try an N1 please. This PAA 1K soap is a favorite of mine, the anise and licorice smells lovely and the slickness and cushion is top tier. Three easy passes for a dolphin smooth result. Have a great day guys. :smile :
