This will be the 139th documented shave with the TOBS Lavender. Going to use it until it is gone... Forty-nine years ago, June 7, 1967, I took the oath of enlistment to become a soldier in the US Army.

The Taylor of Old Bond Street Lavender Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #30RS silvertip badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick Krona razor with a Personna Blue Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a iced water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Speick After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... The addition of ice to my shave today was another level of coolness. I could not have imagined it.

2 pass shave today. Love the scent of Green Vetiver and was hoping they would make this scent (and L'Orange Noir) in the shaving soap. Whipped up a wonderful lather, the Fine soaps performance has surprised me. Really great stuff. Ended up with a BBS shave, finishes off with the matching aftershave. Hope everyone had a great shave!

After a month or two of injectors and more modern razors, I thought I'd get out my oldest razor and move forward. I also am testing out the GSB's.

Blackbird/GSB // The Varlet // Mystic Water // CRSW Nourish + Replenish
Nice to come home to some new Mystic Water soap. Wonderful scent and great lather too. I got a nice shave from the BB-GSB combo although I don't think this is my favorite blade for the Bird. Also I am questioning how I was able to get such easy and irritation free shaves from the Dorco disposable I used while traveling. Food for thought.​

Good morning guys. Just enjoyed a wonderful three pass shave with the GEM PushButton, this razor is such a treat to shave with. It's very easy to maneuver and works very well for hard to read areas like under the nostrils and also works very well ATG under the nose. This TFS soap is outstanding providing easy rich, slick lather every time with outstanding skin care throughout. Three easy passes for a dolphin smooth finish. Riding the GEM train....... Have a great day friends. :smile :
