Not one of my better SR shaves but no blood so it wasn't that bad. I do love the burst of citrus and cooling from the SIGSS Slainte AS!

  7. Menthol always mixes so well with citrus scents, its like the 2 were made for eachother.

Great shave today, the old spice lather cream makes a great lather that is pretty slick. Only big issue it has is it's longevity. By my third pass it began to dissipate. Have a great day!

    Razor: Durham Dorset
    Blade: Durham Duplex (1)
    Soap: Italian Barber
Brush: Same old horse with no name
    Pre Shave Oil: Homemade
    As: Nivea Balm/Brut Splash On

Big mistake, I have tried several times to make it work. After 3 passes and some blow torch irritation, I finally arrived at a BBS (wonder of wonders). The careful strokes I took were painful from the pulling on the 1st pass. I finally found a decent angle, then it wasn`t so bad. The 2nd pass was somewhat like a normal shave. The 3rd pass was even easier, with a watery lather, it cleaned up very good. It seems that this razor really likes water. Acquiring blades is not only difficult, but expensive. I can`t find carpet blades to fit the Dorset. I used an original blade. So, this one goes back into the misc. drawer. It is difficult to believe I got a BBS, but I did (at a great deal of pain). I don`t think it was worth it. Best wishes to all.

  15. image.jpeg Razor: Gillette Super Speed TTO "Red" Flair Tip A3 1955 with the original case, blade pack with instructions.
Brush: Wolf Whiskers DWW-3 "Burnt Oak Whiskey" 30mm x 52 TGN Silvertip Premium 2016
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
    Cream: Truefitt&Hill No 10
    Blade: Feather (2)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera, Jack Black, Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum

Whipped up the Truefitt&Hill No 10 in a minute with this monster Silvertip. The Nice slick cushion and I really like the scent of the No 10. The heavy handle and head of the fat Tip gave me a nice smooth shave with no pressure with a Feather blade. WTG and XTG on my face and neck. Then gently ATG, very smooth. The Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera felt good on my face and that natural scent was nice and fresh. After cleanup, I smoothed on some Jack Black, and then some Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum. Y'all have a good one!

  16. This scent is defenately a acquired taste, very dark smokey fougere. Very nice!

A great late shave today. I can get away with a late shave as I'm unemployed. The XXX is a great soap and the injector wiped away the whiskers along with the lather with ease. Have a blessed day gentlemen.
