Yea they have worked out well, surprising because I have had bad luck with some of the Russian blades in the past, will have to revisit Voshkod and a few others.
I used to like the Voskhod a lot but after the Ladas and GSB's I now find them just okay and won't be restocking.
Excellent shave This was my first use of Night Music with the Lather Monster, and I'm very impressed. The HIS makes better lather faster than my badger Futur brush. I'll still use both, but the Monster is my favorite. The lather also seemed lighter in color this time, perhaps I got under the most oxidized layer of the soap. My wife says the aftershave smells like baby powder! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Three days growth... •Gem "Pat'd 1912" (whichever one that is) with the longer chain link handle •new Ted Pella •Brut bar soap/Chiseled Face Pine Tar, mixed up on the Omega 2 pass superb BBS. What a great razor and blade. Since these blades are still made, this or the Damaskene (they're twins, pretty much) are what someone needs to clone and market. Witch hazel for a/s, will put on some Old Spice Sensitive balm before I leave the house.
Sunday morning's action: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Junjie/Astra day 7 Lea Menthol SC Gold Bond Moisturizer Alt Innsbruck AS I owe myself more shaves with this Lea Menthol cream because it's fantastic - nice scent, lathers great, lots of chill, and pretty good skincare. The Gold Bond is so cooling and soothing, and the Alt Innsbruck smells awesome with a terrific menthol punch!

SOTD June 11, 2016 Prep: Warm shower Blade: Chinese Schick Razor: Schick G1 Injector Brush: Satin Tip 'The Purest' synthetic Lather: Edwin Jagger Limes and Pomegranate shave cream Post: Witch hazel splash, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, touch-up Decent shave today. The Edwin Jagger cream wasn't as slick as other creams I've used. It could have been the lathering technique....I pulled a little out on my finger and smeared it on a couple of spots on my face then face lathered. The lather was okay. I just didn't find it all that moisturizing, slick, or comfortable. I've got the cold water banner up as usual but it wasn't all that cold or even cool. It was lukewarm at best. Wish I had used some ice! Oh well, there's always another shave. The G1 worked great again. I love that little razor. I'm on vacation with my wife and little boy and will therefore post as I can. Have a great weekend!
Prep - Prep Razor – Weber ARC Blade - Gillette Nacet Brush - 'Jade' (Rooney Heritage 2XL Jade) Soap – Phoenix and Beau Unscented Post - Witch Hazel wonderful shave... but thinking of joining the 'Noxzema' clan when the Prep is finished, just to see what all the fuss is about..
Thanks Douglas. My bottle style is more available, but I would prefer this one: (not my photograph) This is more difficult to find.
Thanks for sharing. I love being able to see the actual connection between you and your dad and the razor. The case makes a nice tie-in to the war/patriotic piece of his story. Well done and, yes, may God Rest His Weary Soul.
I do the same thing. I have to learn to just change the blade. Old and hardheaded. Sent from my SM-N910W8 using Tapatalk
Bob, Looks like your southern Oud is getting low. Lucky for you country club for me just released the matching tallow soaps to match their aftershave lineup.
