Monday's Dove Men Face Wash TSD Iced Lime Jayaruh #77 Synthetic Bunny V-3 Schick Injector CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayers Rose Petal WH Pinaud Clubman The TSD Iced Lime Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #77 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Bunny V-3 razor with a Schick Stainless Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Pinaud Clubman After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SOTN: Pleasant evening shave using this restored EIKO 'Glory' razor; Route 66 'Lumberjack' soap and post-shave balm. I love the shape of this blade and the edge is scary-sharp but yields a very close but comfy shave. Three passes, near BBS & I call it a day. Have a joyous Monday, all!

SOTD June 13, 2016 Pre: Proraso preshave cream Razor: Schick Type G Brush: Semogue Soap: Barrister and Mann Unscented Post: Witch Hazel (ouch) and Jack Black Post Shave Cooling Gel (ahhhh). What's the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome? Well then I am insane. This morning as I was laying in bed I decided that I had not tried a three pass shave since I started using my Schick Type G. Who knows...maybe this time it would be different. So I lather up my wonderful Barrister and Mann Unscented and work it into my beard. I do three extra light passes WTG, XTG and ATG...and I thought I did a nice job until I rinse and put on the Witch Hazel. It was as if someone had come in during the night and switched my Witch Hazel for some caustic chemical. And I had several tiny weepers to cap things off nicely.Fortunately, the Jack Black Post Shave Gel worked its usual magic and it settled the irritation nicely. And in the end..I didn't even get a true BBS shave....close, but not quite. But I wasn't going back for another pass. Won't do that again...at least for another 6 months.

Happy Menthol Monday!! Went a little longer than usual with my Gillette Slim but finally made a change......... Palmolive stick face lathered w/Duke 2 Best Gillette Aristocrat w/a fresh Derby blade Osma alum rinse followed by Nivea Cooling ASB and finishing w/the nice menthol kick of Barbasol Blue 2-passes for an excellent DFS! Have a great week all...........
