Jolly Good June! June 14 Razor - Gold Dollar 800 Soap - Tabac Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip Post - Cold rinse, Alum, Nivea, The Veg Second shave on the GD800 and it was a bit of a struggle. Nothing major, just need to pay attention and give myself a bit more time. I rushed the lather thinking it would be automatic. It wasn't. Too dry of a brush for Tabac so I added water on the face lather and still didn't get it right for the first pass. Hurried that pass a bit, work waiting and all, and while I didn't do major damage I did pick up a couple of nicks from setting down wrong. I added water to the brush and re-loaded a bit before the second pass. Lather came around as Tabac will. I was already a bit out of sorts from that first pass so I did the best I could. If it was CCS after two passes it was only because I say so. Grabbed the Tech/Voskhod to clean everything up. Got a decent shave for work. I need to start earlier in the mornings with straights or else move to nights. Considering which is best. I am NOT a morning person so I may switch to night shaves. Just don't know if they will last through the day until 8pm. Hope your Wednesday was a good one! I have a couple more things to add around here and some catching up to do.

SOTD June 15, 2016 Blade: GEM Stainless Razor: GEM MMOC Brush: Satin Tip 'The Purest' synthetic Lather: Proraso White Post: Witch hazel splash, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, minor touch-up Pretty nice shave again with the GEM MMOC. A couple of weepers today though. I went a little too fast and with a little too much pressure in those areas, so I'm not surprised. It seems the MMOC will certainly let you know when bad technique is in place! It will certainly bite. But a nice shave all in all in one pass with minor touch-up on the neck and jaw line. Have a good evening!
I do like the lime. It is iced lime. It has menthol in it. I love the scent and the coolness is just right.
LATE NIGHT SHAVE Prep: Musgo Real orange amber Razor: Gillette Fatboy (6) Blade: Gillette nacet (2nd shave) Brush: Maggard 24mm synthetic Soap: SV Mana Di Sicilia Post: Country Club Southern Oud Have a busy day planned for tomorrow, so since I won't have time to shave in the morning, I shaved again today. The first shave was around 6am this morning but for some reason there was quite a bit of stubble on my face by this evening, and the sink had a lot of hair for the short amount of time it had been since last shave. Anyways, the SV made a good lather. This is the 4.0 version and is a very nice soap, very slick vegatable base, triple milled, and has a lightly floral- almost barbershop type of scent, very nice. The Nacet seemed better than before, much smoother but don't think it will make it to a "go to" blade. The Southern Oud paired well with the scent of the soap and no burning whatsoever. Very happy with the results from the shave, couldn't believe how much stubble there was. Goodnight TSD.

GOOD THURSDAY MORNING EVERYONE!!! SOTD 06/16/16 '52 Gillette Super Speed Shark Stainless(3) Erskine 3103 Boar Williams Cold Water Rinse,Witch Hazel Pinaud Clubman A/S Kind of a vintage shave this morning leaving my face BBS and feeling great!! HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!!
There's nothing like a freezing-cold shave with the Glacial Lemon Chill soap and finishing off with the Lemon Chill witch hazel. That splash also packs a hell of a menthol kick with a great scent, and it's so soothing and comfortable. BBS in two easy passes!
06/16/2016 Mongoose B2 with Triad Ti Feather Pro Super (2) Tres Amigos Desert Ironwood Beehive with Envy White Route 66 Frozen Margarita Witch Hazel Route 66 Frozen Margarita Whipped Shea Butter What a great shave this morning. The Tres Amigos whipped up the Route 66 Frozen Margarita into a wonderful slick lather. The cooling of the menthol felt great on a muggy morning. The Mongoose/Feather Super Pro combo provided a smooth and efficient near BBS 2 pass shave. I finished off the shave with the matching aftershave balm. A great start to the day. I hope everyone has a fantastic Thursday.
