I threw another soap at the Bunny today, the wonderful Italian Barber Milionario. This soap lathers easily with a great scent that stays with you for hours. It is not the slickest but it still has excellent performance. I had 2 days of growth and it didn't faze the Bunny in the least. Two full passes today with a third just under the jawline for cleanup and a dolphin smooth finish was the result. I can't say enough nice things about this razor, it excels in every way possible. Just looking at the handle one would think it was slick but I haven't found that to be the case. I purposely covered the handle today with soap and it still didn't slide around. I'm trying to find something to change but so far I haven't found anything. Thankfully I have another week to keep looking. Have a great day folks!
Wow!!!! I've been on the search for some stropping blades as well (for future experimentation, of course). That's been my concern as well, finding that "NOS" blades are indeed rusted thru or just plain used and manky

They Vary in Price in the USA because of the Collector Value..These Ones are Expensive...A 1/2 Dozen of these Blades will Last for Yonks with Proper Maintenance & Care in a Rotation.. Billy..
That's what has kept me from pulling the trigger. $1/ blade seemed a bit expensive. I didn't know how long they last with proper stropping, but I definitely have been concerned about how much they cost

LOL so that brings me to the question of how exactly would I go about stropping a vintage carbon blade initially? I strop my SR's, but I'm pretty certain that it's not gonna be the same thing? I've been looking at strops from a Valet Auto-Strop on the 'bay. Would that work?

So, outside of making a stropping handle, I can find an ER Lather Catcher and use the stropping handle that comes with it. Do any other SE razors, or any other razors have stropping handles that'll work?
When I travel I tend to use one of my early E2s and send a blade in advance via mail to where I am staying. With some travel coming up I wanted to test out a different pairing as I need to post the blade today to get it in time. Some time ago I picked up some NOS Schick Krona blades. I'd only used one once before and found it to be very mild. It dawned on me that this might be a great pairing with the early E2. Sure enough, it was a like a match made in heaven. Each pass was quick and easy and offered some of the best whisker reduction I've had with my early E2s. Hardly any touch ups were needed and the third pass was really just clean up. I am really struck by how smooth this shave was and how fast it went. I was just flying through each pass with the abandon of a cart. Wow - it may be a while before I use any other blade in these razors. Not the early lather catchers that take Wedge blades. They will not fit correctly. I tried making my own. I was not happy with the results. It is difficult to get the correct angle on the blade. I finally bought one on ebay. The automatic. Stropper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What should I look for on ebay, model name for the razor, etc? Would a complete Valet Auto-strop have the stropping handle?
