Haha it's got some serious tips! It's always a treat to use. Probably the most pronounced hooking I have experienced in a knot.
When I travel I tend to use one of my early E2s and send a blade in advance via mail to where I am staying. With some travel coming up I wanted to test out a different pairing as I need to post the blade today to get it in time. Some time ago I picked up some NOS Schick Krona blades. I'd only used one once before and found it to be very mild. It dawned on me that this might be a great pairing with the early E2. Sure enough, it was a like a match made in heaven. Each pass was quick and easy and offered some of the best whisker reduction I've had with my early E2s. Hardly any touch ups were needed and the third pass was really just clean up. I am really struck by how smooth this shave was and how fast it went. I was just flying through each pass with the abandon of a cart. Wow - it may be a while before I use any other blade in these razors. On a Thursday Razor: Gem Clog Pruf w/ PTFE Gem blade Brush: Shave Revolution Synthetic Lather: Dr. Jon's Anne Bonny Post: Cluan Bayrum What a great shave today! SE shaving has been better the past 2 days than it ever has. I'm sad now that I almost gave up on it. I still prefer my injectors but these SE razors are so efficient. Still working on getting used to the large head but it will come eventually. Anne Bonny is the best bay rum scent that I have experienced, I love the hint of citrus and black tea. They make the scent feel very sophisticated, but they don't take away from the bay scent either. And the clubman bay rum is a great classic scent, without being overly clovey like some others.

Thanks! I got into being an Old Spice junkie, because my Dad used it. I used to watch him shave on the weekends, growing up. He was up way to early during the week! And I think Doug is way ahead of me with his collection. My bride I ok with it. She is just happy I'm not collecting Corvettes.
I couldn`t help noticing the Junji razor in your post. I have one that I tried awhile back and no matter what I did, I couldn`t make it work for me, I was about to throw it out but maybe I should give it another try. Any tips? Bill

SHAVE OF THE DAY Prep: Occams crushed lime Razor: Gillette Single Ring OC Blade: Gillette nacet Brush: omega s synthetic Soap: Dr. Jon's Bandit Post: Osage Rub/ Aqua Velva (decanted) 2 pass shave, went with Bandit today. Very nice complex citrus scent, whipped up a thick lather with only a small dab of product. The Nacet Blade did not work out very well in the single ring, not smooth enough for such agressive razor. The AV felt nice to cool the skin down. Hope everyone had a great shave!
Today Hot water wash with nivea mens face wash and a washcloth Brothers Bristles/ ace black badger Pyrate Cove bay rum and ginger (bombed) Stahly head/maggard mr5 handle Astra sp (1) Pinaud virgin island bay rum (iced) Today's shave was nice. The bb made great cool lather from the bombed (3 drops) br/ginger soap. Three passes with the Stahly (new astra blade). So smooth you dont think your doing anything. But the three passes left me slick as owl poop. Finished with iced bay rum, so cold and warm simultaneously. Hope y'all did as well, or better.
