It's a fluke that I survived this menthol bombardment (just kidding!) from the Glacial Wintergreen soap, aftershave balm, and witch hazel. The Arctique aftershave went on so bitterly-cold and made the end of this shave such a frozen pleasure!
SOTD Sat. 6/18/16 Prep: Noxzema Classic SS: La Toja Shave Stick SB: Semogue 620 Boar Razor: Pal Adj. Blade: Schick (1) ASB: Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill AS: Fine L'Orange Shower Soap Bar: Grandpa's Patchouli Cologne: Thallium by Yves De Sistelle Good morning friends. First shave with the Pal Adj. I love this razor! It's big and sturdy, and is my biggest injector of all. The first thing that struck me is how smooth it shaves, it feels like your whiskers are just disappearing and it's extremely efficient as well. There is no need to go above the middle setting which is what my buddy @Billyfergie suggested but of course I'm dialing it up to full throttle for my next shave. :: I like it better than my Schick adjustable. Every injector fan should have one. I chose La Toja today for it's excellent protective cushion and glide and it worked out beautifully for a three pass easy dolphin smooth finish. Riding that train people...riding it.....
Amazing Aristocrat The softball glove is one my Dad used for at least seventy years - playing competitively on work and church teams, as well as playing catch with me for 45 of those years. I still remember his patience while teaching me to throw a knuckleball. The baseball is from the 1968 World Champion Detroit Tigers, signed by his favorite player, Al Kaline. Tabac reminds me of my Dad because he used it in his mug with his c40 boar brush. The razor is as close as I could find to the one he used. The Aristocrat is an excellent shaver - smooth and efficient. I got a BBS in three passes with no drama. Good morning everyone. Today I tried an experiment. The Merkur 180 and the RazoRock Protégé are my goto razors. Kai is my goto blade. The Ladas that I tried recently went very well. So I loaded up a Ladas in the Protégé and a Kai in the 180. The left side of my face got the 180, the right, the Protégé. The left side was smooth and comfortable. The right was smooth. The right side ended up with three weepers, the left none. Oddly enough, I felt the blade more on the left side. I don't know how much to attribute to the razor, and how much the blade. Next time I will reverse them and see how it goes. There you have it, a very non scientific experiment. I think the Ladas is a contender with the Polsilver for second place. I like this blade.

Straight Saturday Hot water wash with nivea mens face wash and a washcloth @GDCarrington olivewood/ two band finest Soap Commander Endurance M J Higgins 5/8 3/4 hollow shefield spike Lustray Blue Spice All about nothing to do today, but enjoy my shave. And it was all that and a bag of chips this morning. Gary's recomended two band just keeps getting better and better. Endurance to remind me of granddad Higgins. And a Higgins blade to boot. Three slow passes with this super keen, quiet hunk of heavy English steel, left me slicker than a forgotten boat ramp on a sunny summer day. Finished with blue spice, OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE BLUE. Hope y'all did as well, or better.
Talk of PAL Adjustables has been in the air over on the Injector and SE Party !!! thread. So, when I saw @Robyflexx 's shave today I knew it was time to get re-acquainted with mine. A lovely shave all around. Super smooth and fantastic results. A pleasure machine that feels great in the hand and leaves that face rubbing goodness behind.
