With all this talk about The Fat I had to go and shave with the MWF and my Fat Boy. I'm calling it the Gillette Fat's Shave. You'll see why in a second! SOTD 6/20/16 Pre: none tonight Razor: Gillette Fat Boy Blade: Gillette 7 O'clock super stainless Brush: TGN Finest Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat Post: Cold water rinse, Maggard Alum, witch hazel, Gillette After shave balm As I said with all this talk about MWF tonight I had to go and use it. I got to thinking also while I was getting everything ready I might as well go ahead and use the Fat Boy as well. Since it was a Gillette Razor, well might as well use a Gillette blade as well as my Gillette after shave. The only thing I didn't have to fit the category is a Fat Brush. Now onto the shave, I rubbed the MWF on my face and shook out the brush and worked on getting a good lather and just like before the Fat erupted into a nice cushioning lather. I grabbed the razor and went for my fist pass WTG and got good beard reduction. Second pass was XTG and I was enjoying my shave so far, no really I was! Third pass was ATG and I almost caught the baby tonight, I guess I could have done a clean up pass but Nah. I was happy right were it was at, and had no irritation so I called it quits. Did my usual post routine with the cold water, Alum, witch hazel, and to keep the theme going I used my Gillette After shave. So I'm done and now the Gillette Fat's Shave is in the books. Anyone shave somewhere between XTG and ATG? I've been doing this last couple shaves with good results and feels more comfortable then completely ATG. What would you call that direction anyway? Sent from my Galaxy S6 using Tapatalk
I would call that a AXTG or XATG. Actually thinking about it I do that sometimes when I do a clean up pass.

I would say diagonal. I've done that on occasion, usually on a clean up pass, especially on my neck. You can take it and turn it into the Gillette Slide...just keep the razor horizontal to the floor and move diagonally so you are creating a slicing action. Just don't add pressure or slip while doing it. That's the usual move for me in cleaning my neck up to high DFS/BBS. It's an advanced technique along with buffing and J-hooking.
