Jolly June!!!

Leopard Week
First a pic of a large (indeterminate type, likely a "great horned") Owl in a territorial standoff, on my neighbor's roof, with two upset Jays. Fun huh? Owls look cuddly, but they have talons like Eagles, and are extremely violent and capable hunters. Fierce birds with few natural enemies.
About five minutes after this pic. He flew off the vent pipe and swooped down toward me, passing over my head by ten feet. I could tell that he was locked on to something. His next move was smashing a small prairie hare just along the property line, picking up a little take out for the flight back to his home in the oaks along the river. I see Owls, Red Hawks, Prairie Falcons and Bald Eagles with some regularity around my home. If you've never seen large birds work prey up close, trust me, it's scary fast, and quite impressive.
I am putting a new blade in tomorrow. Today was not as great, some tiny mustache weepers, but oddly little irritation. The weight and balance are different than SR, even if angle is similar. Still finding optimal pressure. Gonna step it up to Voskhod. What's the worst that could happen? Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado.
Have a fabulous Friday!
