I face lathered today and got a wonderful lather. I like this brush no matter how I lather.
I switched to a Ladas blade today and got the best two pass shave of the month.

Excellent shave with the black beauty. Even at 9 this razor seems quite mild to me. The Treet is still performing well. Have a great day my friends!

Late to the party again. :)

Razor: AlumiGoose 2 w/ Hempel Handle
    Blade: Feather Professional (5)
    Brush: Rubberset Aluminum 400 #3
    Soap: Eufros Tierra Humeda
    A/S: Folsom & Co. Capri

Continuing my SE focus. A little earlier today as I have a meeting tonight at 6:30 PM and a golf tournament tomorrow. Back with another SE shave. Very near BBS shave today with these fine shaving product. The #3 whipped up a great lather tonight and the feed back from the AlumiGoose and Feather Pro was great. Finished with the Folsom Co. Capri and I'm ready to go.

Razor: AlumiGoose 2 w/ Hempel Handle
    Blade: Feather Professional (6)
    Brush: Rubberset Aluminum 400 #3
Soap: Route 66 The Black Pearl
    A/S: Fine American Blend

Missed my shave yesterday, so this is my morning shave with yesterdays picture.
The use of different handles can have a significant affect on the performance of the SE head. I've found that a heavier handle suites the AlumiGoose for a closer more comfortable shave IMO. YMMV.
The Black Pearl whipped up into an excellent lather to prepare my beard for the AlumiGoose. No disappointment there. The 3 passes with a touchup did the job. The finish with Fine American Blend is perfect as usual. Have a good Saturday and a great weekend.

  10. interesting idea of yours to m-bomb the Stephan.
  11. There were about three oz in this bottle. I poured it in for a ten count. It might have been a bit much, but I've been digging the aftershave since I did it. Have a few more I am going to bomb.

    And then use carefully.

  12. Make sure you wash your hands....snowballs. :)

  14. Stephan makes quality products-although the company is best known for hair-care.

    Pre: Shower, Nivea face wash
Razor: Gillette Black Beauty O3 (setting on 2)
    Blade: GSB (1)
Brush: TGN Finest in olivewood handle
    Soap: WSP Formula T Barbershop
Post: cold water rinse, Maggards Alum block, Witch Hazel, Gillette aftershave Balm

I got a great shave tonight as it is whenever I get BBS. I started my shave by rewetting my face and making some nice lather with my WSP soap. I face lathered and got ready to put Great GSB steel to face for my fist pass. First pass was WTG and I got good beard reduction could tell that the GSB was doing it's job well. Second pass I relathered and went XTG and again got good beard reduction I guess I could have stopped there and called it a DFS but I wanted better. So lathering again I went for ATG and got it almost there, just some minor touch ups and I was BBS. I rinsed my face with cold water and applied my alum which gave me a little tingle on one spot on my neck. I again rinsed off and applied my witch hazel following that with some Gillette aftershave balm. Looked in the mirror and felt my face and I was dolphin smooth, could have swore I saw Flipper staring back at me. It was another great shave and another one in the books for GSB.

  16. as we approach the end of another month, it is safe to say that "DE Razors" is June's "Secretariat/1973 Belmont"
  17. That has an entirely different meaning given the nature of how he got his CT. And it's quite frightening to think about. Ivan is huddled under the table trembling.
  18. Jolly Good June!

    June 24

Early morning today. Too early. Way too early. So, the shave I may have mentioned I was going to do, just never happened. I posted my earlier quick post, headed to the shower to hurry and didn't have time for the shave so.........

    nothing to see.gif
I'll be back in a bit to catch up on the day. BBQ Chicken awaits!
  19. July Straight focus

Opted for luxurious Sunday shave and fired up the kettle for some hot lather. Last night was a break in the summer heat so I did not mind the hot lather.

Today's razor was a Dovo Bismarck 2. This could have been an epic shave except for an operator error that left a small cut. Despite some minor blood still As across the board.

  20. Ivan trembling in fear, I don't believe it! He has faced Russian bear's one handed and even a squad of Girl Scouts blindfolded, how can this be?
