I haven't decided if that curve in the shank is a blessing or a curse. Seems easier the shave with, but harder to strop
  5. Many SR shavers do enjoy razors with a prominent thumb notch in the tang, but these notches can sometimes take some grip-adjustment to when stropping. Easier I've found, when jimps are present.

  12. This morning I used the Kiebitz. Paired up with Stirling orange chill, Semogue brush and store brand menthol aftershave, I ended up with a satisfying DFS after 2 1/2 passes.

  13. Sweet razor. That square edge/short blade looks ready to hand out a dueling scar!
  14. Just wanted to let everyone know I put a thread on the brush page. Let's see some of your brushes.

  15. SOTD: One of my all-time favorite Solingen razors, this restored vintage Böhler-Stahl is 'easy on the eyes' but also a wonderful shaver!
'Bourbon Jungle' soap & Fine finish. Great shave to start the week! :)

  16. It is a wonderful razor. It took a little more work to hone. The feel and balance is superb. The edge is excellent. I bought mine from Fendrihan last year or so for a good price compared to most sites. This razor uses Thiers-Issard's newest steel called "Carbonsong". I highly recommend it.

  18. Holy crap, that was amazing! Two days growth, two passes with the Wilburt, and results as smooth and on par with a DE!

I have 6 straights shave ready and have used them all at least once or more, and want to use them all in rotation. But the Wilburt Cutlery is quickly becoming my best, go to straight razor.

Finished up with AVON Deep Woods.
