06/26/2016 AlumiGoose V1 with Hempel Ti Feather Super Pro (9) Shavemac Silvertip D01 Nuavia Blu Witch Hazel with Menthol This morning's shave was one where everything just clicked. The Nuavia Blu scent might be the best scent of any shave soap I have used. The Silvertip D01 made short work of whipping up a mountain of rich slick lather. Since time was not an issue, I went with a traditional 3 pass shave followed by minimal touch ups and managed catch the baby. I finished off the shave with a splash of Witch Hazel with menthol. Over half an hour later, I still smell the scent of the soap. No need for aftershave with this one. I hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday.
Clint, that's what many of the guys on the Rise ads say-both the original and the now reformulated-no need for aftershave. But I use some anyway. Maybe one day I won't and see just what the guys mean.
I agree. I use an aftershave everyday. I just wanted to enjoy the scent of this soap as long as I can.

June 26/ 2016 Sunday Razor(s): Hibco/ Lady J Blade(s): Personna Stainless/Ted Pella((1/5 respective) Brush: VDH Badger Lather: Cremo Pre shave Oil: Homemade A/S: Gillette Gel/Brut Splash On Newspaper Date:Nov. 7,1943 Must have missed my "window", light tremors most the way. !st. pass, WTG/ Hibco cut me about 6 times, not bad, a styptic and a substantial cold water 'bath" , a good pat down, a Kleenex test. Restart with "Lady J", WTG on 2nd pass and, ATG/XTG, 3rd pass, some cleanup, resulting in a shave that I can go out in public, good with it. It is what it is. Better luck for everyone else. Not really disappointed. As I feel around my face, it really isn`t that bad. Bill BTW, the Hibco is a little on the aggressive side, so?
