With a month of shaves under this TBS synthetic brush I definitely want to try others. The only negative review point I found was about loss of bristles. That hasn't happen to me with this particular unit.
Saponificio Varesino has performed well, as it should. It's a respected product and I'd recommend Dolomiti and the other scent, Mana di Sicilia should anyone wish to try a triple milled Italian soap.
All the talk of Popsicle sticks had me remembering a shavette I passed to a friend. I took refuge in a Flare Tip loaded with a Rapira SS and enjoyed a flaw free experience. Alum swiped stingless & the Tiger was Terrific!

I'm not sure what July will hold.
I may watching for the ice cream man to pass by.

Good plan. I'm not sure if I'll be joining you, except in spirit. My favorite razor is the Slim, but my normal setting is 5 and I'm not sure how comfortable I am going past 6.

Interesting note about the three SuperSpeeds... if I can believe the blade gap entry in the B&B Wiki, then the Slim at 6 is already more aggressive than the Red Tip SS. Although I have no doubt of your ability to handle it.

Good move on the Tiger and Chinese blades. Although, if you could find a good source for one, the Chinese Super Gillette Blue Blade is actually pretty decent.

I'm curious as to your reasoning about the Israeli blades, but I'm glad you will be doing them as they often represent the only DE blade option available over the counter. Along the same lines, I'd suggest working in the Dollar Store (Family Dollar, Dollar General) blades made in Vietnam.

BTW, if Korean post ends up failing for some reason, let me know. I have a couple of user-grade Gillette Adjustables I don't normally use and could PIF one for the cause.

    Ericsson Open Comb
    Treet Platinum (4)
    Arko
    RR Plissoft

Final shave of the moth and ended with good results. The Treet platinum gave it up after the first pass and I really had to focus on angle and pressure. Had to use the G-Slide on the final pass to get the closeness that I wanted to which yielded really good results on a failing blade. Got BBS on the face and a DFS on the neck. The Alum gave a little burn in a few spots but the aloe infused WH and the Nivea ASB cooled, soothed, and smoothed. I really love having my face BBS where it doesnt matter so much on the neck. Have a great day my freinds!

    June Focus Day 28:

    Stirling Synthetic Brush
    Arko
    Injector Type J
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Clubman AS

No pic today, as I was rushing a bit. I did get in a nice shave with the Injector, which will be the last one for the month. I would easily call this a DFS, and some Clubman just puts a perfect touch on the finish.

I am not sure what I will do tomorrow, as I torn between my Greaves and the Barbasol. I will probably go with the Greaves, as wedges were my focus for the month. I do have a question for all you travelers out there. How do you store your razor in a dopp kit to keep the blade from tearing everything up? I would like to use my Barbasol in the gym next month, but DE razors really cut things up. I could always go one shave on a blade, but I would prefer to get my normal three.

You need a cover that goes over the head of the razor, and sits snug enough to protect the blade. In addition to keeping it from cutting stuff up, the blade will be in better shape when you go to put it on your face. (You have a PM.)

For July I have many blades yet to try and many razors to get acquainted with as well. Once you publish your list I may sync up with you for the blade trials. I dont have 109 but I have a good 2o or so yet to be tried so there will be some opportunity to join you.

    NCoxSTL AAACK!

I like the idea of the Vietnamese blades out of the dollar stores. I'll probably add those. Thanks for the mention of the gaps on the Slim as well. I may look into that a bit more, but I think using 2, 6 and 9 definitely covers the range. And yes, if it's more aggressive than the red tip, well, I'm still not at 1918 Old Style level. Or popsicle sticks!

My normal refusal to use Israeli blades is political, for lack of a better word. But, yes, the blades are used in all sorts of settings, especially over the counter which I had forgotten for a bit. They deserve a study and certainly won't go away just because I don't buy them. I appreciate the offer of a razor should I need one! Thanks for all your support and interest! Oh, and the Chinese Super Gillette Blue Blade - on the hunt.
