Van der Hagen 100% boars brushes work very nicely and cost under $5 at Walmart. Double pass wtg/atg and xtg in the chin area.

Whatcha think so far bro? I'm about ready to sell my Methodshaving setup. Brush/pastes/third of a cube. Just can't seem to get into it and have it work as advertised for me.

Well......
Ive kinda modified the system a wee bit:
Milled da cube into a glass dish.
I load up the brush, and I mean till its a paste on the bristles, and then I build a bit of lather on my face.
While thats softening up the beard I add the cutting paste to the breech, close it all up and then go back to my face to finish the job.
Took me a bit of practice but now I really like the shaves alot....not unlike MWF, which I was about to give up on until I quit trying to be so miserly with the stuff.
Heres the deal:
use more cube and use more paste than you think you need (bout a quarters worth).

I'll keep it around.

First time to use Proraso Aloe & Green Tea Shaving Soap. The shave was great; the scent was peculiar yet pleasant. All-in-all, I’d say it’s a keeper!
