  1. Also @Mr. Freeze93

    +1 Menthol is in a class of drugs known as selective anesthetics. The reduce your tactile sensation by numbing everything but the nerves for cold. I am hesitant to use them with a SR, for the reasons above. What @Drygulch is trying to say--menthol is a fun ingredient, just don't get nuts with it!
  2. Douglas-

    You are now the official pageant judge representative for the cartel. We appreciate your fine investigative work!

  5. Pig ear sandwiches. Love 'em! First introduced about 9 years ago from a soul food place in Ferguson. There's a place in St. Louis City that serves them along with pig's feet, snout, and every other part of the pig you can imagine. Best soul food I've found, but you need to eat before 2pm when the gangs wake up. Other than that it's a great spot!

    Just like that. Two pass automatic. A bit irritated around the edges, but smooth. Tentative pass, and will repeat tomorrow. Way better than the last two days, stayed blood free! Proraso is a soap I don't use enough! Had a long and productive Saturday, and even did a few things I enjoy. 55F and clear skies on the prairie, headed out for a pipe and hopefully a meteor shower later. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado.

    Have a great Sunday!

  8. Will the thong of steaks be dyed baby blue? Just curious. Yeah, the Super Pros are a beast, IMHO. Now, I have used one with a great result......meaning one pass DFS and I called it good, but I know they can bite in half a heartbeat. The good news is.....when you've removed enough layers of skin you can truly call it a BBS......trust me, there's no beard left!

  9. Trust me.....when Adam says "I dare you"......you might want to count to 10 before proceeding.

  10. Well, she is 2 years younger than the winner. That makes a huge difference in the motherland.

  13. Thank you for this great honor. :)
  14. The strop doesn't do much for modern blades. I have a pattern for one I got from @Douglas Carey and I made one for me as well. Fun to play with, but I am not convinced it is needed. Feather makes a blade that fits that razor.
  15. Yes! I won a raffle on the shave gear raffle page on Facebook. Its the low end ($300) Maestro Livi model, and was rescaled in horn by the Maestro himself. I can't wait to try it out.
  16. You are in for Tuesday's shenanigans, aren't you? All the cool kids are doing it!
  17. Does the fact that Neal said, "Trust me..." negate the fact that I said, "I dare you" ?
  18. I just want to point out that while @Mr. Freeze93 and @mrchick were documenting a discussion on girly men, beef jerky thongs and eye bleach, @Douglas Carey was tracking down the first runner up. He is the hero this thread needs!
  19. :bounce017::bounce015::chores016::git::scared011: Congratulations
  20. Yes but only 2 things, one I have been trying to find the feather blades at a reasonable price and when I find them they are out of stock. second I have been looking into some vintage Valet blades to try and I would need a strop for those I think! I would like to find an original strop to put this kit back like it should be with some original vintage blades.
