  1. Two razors today. After the first pass I knew I wasn't going to like the shave with my Rapide so I switched to the Schick D loaded with one of the Dogs Danglie NOS Dutch Schick blades. Night and day difference.

  2. sorry to hear about the shave with the Henckel Rapide razor, I'd love to try one. Do you think it's a matter of the hone on the blade or the design of the razor?
  3. Likely it was me - in retrospect I don't think I had the blade seated properly. :kngt: I do need a better honed blade, though.

  4. Just finished a fantastic shave with my 1912 ER British. I used my Haslinger soap and a GEM ss blade.

Three passes on 2 days growth. This is one smooth and efficient razor. Face rubbing goodness.

  7. You know....I think this ER 1909, was probably bought....admired....maybe thought of as a little too 'new'....Put in its box and left for a hundred years or so....Because she seems quite happy to be the center of attention in my shave cave....And above all else, she seems to be very HUNGRY....she doesn't think twice about devouring a whole face full of whiskers in one pass with a touch up....:eatdrink023:

Yesterday, I hadn't shaved in three days, in preperation of a "Whisker Feast" for her....and she showed no hesitation in finishing the feast in "Short Order"....

My wife who loves to rate my shaves gave her first full blown 5 Star rating..
Today was the second shave, and my wife, she couldn't believe it, gave her second 5 out of 5 rating...She ask was it with the same razor...

Todays Rogue' Gallery....That nub of a shave stick, is just that...a nub of Arko....

Fabulous shave this morning with the PAL Injecto-Matic. Arko shave stick creates wonderful face lathering goodness and I'd like to thank my buddy Chris aka Bama Samurai for providing me with it, I need to use it more often. Dolphin smooth and refreshed. Have a wonderful day guys. :)
  15. Hello Bird. How would you rate the Ever Ready 1914 to the 1909?

    Blade: GEM Stainless

Easy, quick, efficient one-pass shave this morning. Third day in a row with Stirling Barbershop. It's good stuff! The lather whips up so easily, is beautiful and shiny, slick and protective, and smells great. The GEM Pushbutton is quite effective and takes the whiskers down with ease. Even with one pass I'm pretty smooth except for my lower neck (problem area no matter what).

I hope you all have a great day!!

  19. Today we were at the market selling my wife's homemade rag rugs and when we returned home the postman had left a package on the front porch. I brought it in the house and opened it up and was treated by this beauty.
