Thank you. Hardly a scratch on it. If the nylon doesn't work out. I will be putting a modern knot in it.
yea some of the scents are a bit strange at first, but the oils blend after a few uses and the true scent comes out. Excellent performance to boot.
My dad just picked me up a few razors from a estate sale. Got 3 Gillette Slim adjustables and a Fat Handle Tech in the box with a pack of Sheffield blades still shrink wrapped, and a few old King Gillette blades, All for $20 which seems like a pretty good deal plus the razors are in good condition.
I hit the monthly Antiques Fair again and found more goodies. The top straight with the number 26 is a Krusius Brothers "KB Extra". It had the bonus of being in a Wostenholm box that will go with one of my other razors. The bottom straight as a Union Razor and Cutlery. The Ever Ready lather catcher is in great shape. The Gillette has a 1921 serial number and appears to be a gold Big Fellow. Unfortunately it is missing a tooth.
Nice score. I have a KB Extra, but mine is a round point rather than the Spanish point you have. It's a great shaver.
Thanks. I'm looking forward to using it. I'm planning on figuring out how to hone and this one will go in the queue.
My Wolf Whiskers brush arrived today! The pictures don't do it justice! I had the knot set at 50mm so it should have some backbone. This is a TGN finest fan. I just glued it in with silicone so if it turns out that the knot is not for me I'll be able to pull it without to much trouble and replace it. I'm very pleased with this!
