Looks like a G1 to me. Does it have two Patton numbers on the other side to the left of the spring? Sent from my Galaxy S6 using Tapatalk
"U.S. PATS. 1806087 (above) 1969945" and "Schick Injector" marked on spring base. Immovable spring with no flaps. Parallel grooves on safety bar. Handle has seam. I'm having the dickens of a time nailing this thing down...from what I can gather (so far), the Eversharp name wasn't used until what, 1946? And the Type E used seamless Bakelite handles, while the Eversharps used seamed plastic? Really a challenge here.
I added some stuff to my last post...I've heard the G is milder than the E, correct? I'm fixing to find out here pretty soon. (Thanks for your help...I have another one on the way I'll probably need some info on, too.) Edit: It's no wonder you love this thang. It's *sweet*.
Speaking of G1's... mine arrived today and is ready for it's first shave tomorrow. A question, though... What's the deal with the textured vs. smooth head? I notice that @'65 G-Slim has a smooth one while I have a textured one.
Most of them are G1's except the ones with the clear handles, turquoise handles, blue handle with chrome head, and gold handles. this site is a good source of info: http://www.safetyrazors.net/schick/schicktech.htm
For me anyway, the "G" seems to be more aggressive than my "I" or "L", of which I like the "I" the best. The "G" works good as a two pass razor, but with some irritation for me. But like it's been mentioned here many times, everyone is different and one razor might be great for someone and just ok for others.
