Nice! I was looking at one of those, but I couldn't remember if the blade was proprietary or not so I passed
For $30 incl. shipping I think I did rather well with this really nice vintage Rooney butterscotch brush w/ 25-26mm two-band knot that is very dense and super soft. Really looking forward to using it tomorrow. It's a substantial/heavy feeling handle with a design that makes it really comfortable to hold. Here it is next to a fully bloomed SOC brush for a sense of scale
I picked up a Sigma 13000 stone. Now I have to sharpen my straights. Also got a tube of Apache shave cream.
So you're the SOB that outbid me lol. Very nice. Let me know how she shaves Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
This one was a BIN. wasn't me that outbid you. I was out bid on that one myself Sent from my Galaxy S6 using Tapatalk
Couple of things over the last few days First up is an Eversharp HydroMagic 500 I've got a couple others in the stable that are Schick Golden 500's that look identical but the names are different. This one has the best case out of the bunch and other than a small smudge on the back of the handle, appears to be in excellent condition. It still has the dummy blade in it (which seems to be a good match for me; dummy blade, dummy shaver, etc...) and came with 24 gold colored blades. I'm not familiar with the gold blades so I really have no idea what they're made out of (or coated with) so I probably need to do some research. I thought it was a good deal at $20. Next up is a bottle of Grande Marque aftershave. I can remember my dad having at least one bottle of this but I couldn't remember what it smelled like. I mostly remember the gearshift handle so it seemed like a nice addition to my growing vintage aftershave collection. It's probably not a scent I'll wear but it looks ok on the shelf. Lastly is an early SuperSpeed (no date code) that cost me 5 bucks. I run into these fairly frequently but they never seem to be in the best shape (finish wise). This one cleaned up fairly decently but still has a spot under the head where the finish is gone. Either way, 5 bucks was too cheap to leave it sitting on the shelf so I brought it home.
Oh, so you're saying there were two and you outbid me on both, once because I didn't BIN and the other cuz neither of us won the auction lol Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
