  2. Love both the razor and your cat. Do you want to trade your cat for my dog

  4. Tonight's shave.

This shave was fun today. I picked up this little Gillette brush 16mm knot and smells like Boar. I wanted to get back to my SE's with stropping blades. So I chose my 1924 for tonights ride. The blade is as you can see Chess. This is the second shave with this blade.

On 2 full days growth I have a DFS bordering on BBS. Three full passes no touchup. I can't wait until I get the hang of stropping and being able to do a proper refresh on these blades.

    Have a great night

    Tom
  5. Excellent looking brush Tom.

  7. Its the original knot, right? Do you know how old it is?
  8. I like cats and dogs but what will you trade for the razor?

  9. Yes the knot is original. I believe it is from a single ring set. I think it is real early. As it does not say sterilized like others I have seen trying to research it. Anybody with info I would love to get it.

  13. My gosh Tom:rofl:, is that the world's smallest brush or what?!!!

How many times did you have to reload it for each pass?

  14. I only had to reload 1 time for 3 passes. I face lather. It is a 16mm knot.

    Pre: Shower, Nivea face wash
    Razor: Gem Micromatic
    Blade: Gem (Personna)
    Brush: TGN synthetic
    Soap: WSP Bay Rum
Post: cold water rinse, alum, witch hazel, Aqu Velva Ice Blue

I was kind of sore yesterday from my shave on Tuesday so I waited till today to shave. I'm glad I did, had a second look at my beard growth to make sure I was following the grain pattern. I decided on a SE shave today since I don't have the correct blade to follow the blade trials. I wet my brush after re-wetting my face to get set to make my lather and the WSP did pretty good, it's no Catie's Bubbles or Haslinger but it did pretty good. Well I lathered my face for my first pass WTG and got really good reduction. I relathered and went for my second pass XTG and got really good reduction again. I rinsed my face off and felt my neck and cheeks and decided to go for a Third and final pass ATG. Third pass I was really careful about because I was already really close but went for it anyway. I got really, really close, so close I was BBS smooth and was pleased with it. I rinsed off with cold water and ran my alum over my face and just got a whisper under my chin. I then rinsed that off and splashed on the witch hazel and waited for that to dry. After that I patted on my aftershave and felt it cooling effect on my face and cleaned up everything. Hope everyone had a great shave today!
