The wife gave the green light to get a few things I've had my eye on for awhile. The all bakelite Clix. Stetson Country cologne and aftershave. 1960s Avon Bath Oil for Men (don't judge, it's quite manly smelling) and the matching a/s lotion.
It's funny that Bobs "improved" handle was a modified Goodfella handle, and this modified "improved" handle looks exactly like the original Goodfella - My head just imploded
I will... Its days as a 'safe queen' is - for good or worse - over and it will be put to work. It's one handle I will certainly treasure owning.
Ordered a tub of Wickham Super Smooth Club Cola this morning. Looking forward to checking out scent and performance, they are discontinuing the SS line of soaps to make room for the new 1912 formula.
I asked the seller, the original owner, and got this back and thought it was pretty interesting: "I was wanting to purchase a Goodfella razor but didn't like the diminutive size. I found Bob's work and noticed his 'improved' handle was extremely similar to the Goodfella. I contacted him and asked him if he would make me an improved handle with less notches because I wanted a Goodfella that was larger and heavier. He agreed to do it. That's also why I paired it with the 1904 head, to give it the aesthetics of the Goodfella, which I really liked. That's what makes this particular handle so rare. no other handle made by Bob is exactly the same as this one. the original Goodfella is about 3 inches long and 3/8ths in diameter and this handle is 3 1/4 inches long and 7/16ths in diameter"
He would probably like the new 2015 Goodfella then. According to Gifts&Care its handle is larger than the original one, sold at the time Bob made this, maybe even around the same size (I can't be bothered to find the right mm to inches conversion on google). The Goodfella handle is SS though
I'm waiting on Palmolive Menthol SC, Proraso Blue SC, 3 packs of Treet blades (Black/New Steel/Silver) and a Maggard Synthetic brush.
Won this last night for 99 cents. If I'm lucky it'll have stainless but I expect they'll be carbons, which is fine. Even if empty it's okay, the dispenser is what I wanted...I got a bunch of loose vintage stainless I need to corral and this mag looks like it can be opened and reoladed pretty easily.
Waiting on an Ikon X3 Slant And I just sniped this Wade and Butcher Barber's Rattler. Sorry if one of you guys were bidding.
Nice..I Love that Term Sniped.. I watch Bids Goin Down all the Time on SRs...I Just Love to Watch the Bidding War & then Mr Sniper Cones in at the Last Sec & Wins the Day..One Shot..One Kill..Its a Kinda Bidding Show that Usually Ends One Way.. Billy..
