Complimentary of Opposed A/S

Do you select your A/S to compliment your soap/cream or do you find something that is opposite of the cream you used.

For example, do you use a lime soap with a lime A/S or a lime soap with Old Spice? (seeing a pattern here, I am just not an Aqua Velva man. More to go around right)

Some people do, some people dont. It depends on the person, the day, their mood, etc. Generally though, soap smells dont stick around and you can use any ASB or cologne you want. Some AS smells stick around while others dont. Personally, I use what ever soap I'm in the mood for, a scentless ASB, and whatever cologne I'd like to wear that day.

All depends on my mood, but I do normally use at least complimentary scents.
BTW- Aqua Velva goes with everything :D

I somehow doubt that it goes with red wine or fish.

    Mayhaps chicken?

Not much mixing and matching for me. I tend to go with Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue everyday no matter what soap or cream I use. But, sometimes I feel like getting wild and crazy and I’ll reach for the Aqua Velva Musk – oh yeah baby! I slap it on my face and then I start singing:

    Oh, that's the way, uh-huh uh-huh,
    I like it, uh-huh, uh-huh.
    That's the way, uh-huh uh-huh,
    I like it, uh-huh, uh-huh.
    That's the way, uh-huh uh-huh,
    I like it, uh-huh, uh-huh.
    That's the way, uh-huh uh-huh,
    I like it, uh-huh, uh-huh.

You could steam rice over Aqua Velva or perhaps chicken or wantons. Although I would probably recommend the musk smell as the standard or ice variety may be a bit weird.

I worked in kitchens for 8 years and when we were board we tried to fry everything. Word of warning ice cubes do not fry, they do make a mess and a ticked off sous chef.

I just find what I like and use it. I agree that the scent of the soap doesn't stick around very long so it doesn't clash with any cologne or aftershave. For me, it's Leatherneck shaving cream from TGQ, AOS lavender aftershave balm and Clubman a/s used as a mild cologne for scent. None of it clashes.

Sometimes yes, and sometimes no. So I guess the answer would be sometimes.

    Matching sets

I would say 99% of the time I always go for the matching pair, Shaving Cream\soap & after Shave or Balm, friom the same btand or fragance, unless I can not then I see if I can find a sub for it.

Because of the high alcohol content, I think the Aqua Velva would work best for flambé. Yummy! :eatdrink023

    I make no effort to match soaps/creams and AS's. I'm a rebel that way. :taunt005 :D

Like most have said I use whatever soap or cream I am in the mood for and the AS is whatever I feel like before I head out the door to work

I rarely ever match my soap and A/S.

However for a special occasion I'll sometimes match my soap and A/S
