Hey Karl, Thanks so much! My Uncle said that he used the 74s when they were new but that they were noting to shout about in terms of longevity. I hope to test that theory. Also, I discovered his first razor was the Pal Adjustable! We must be a Personna/Pal family
Had a great shave today with my "I". Seven shaves with the same blade and still going strong. Also waiting on this Gem push button for my first SE shave experience. My open comb Micromatic might not be the best choice for the first SE shave. Also, a question if you don't mind. The other Schick pictured here was listed a "G", but after looking at the bottom, it doesn't have the two patent numbers as my other one has. Says "Patent 1937" and "Made In Canada" and I'm guessing an "E" but not sure which one. And it's pretty aggressive, as my face has found out.
I'm going out on a limb and guessing E4 as it doesn't look like it has the side lugs on the spring. But, you know all about my Auld Man eyes. @jimjo1031 do you have a pic from the side?
I think a Saw the Ruminants of a Side Lug on the Spring..You Might be Spot on Tho..The One that is Wrong Gets from Here on Deputised as the Auld Man Eyes Deputy of the SE & Injector Section.. Billy..
Ok Smarty Pants its a Type E 4...I am Forthwith Deputised as the Auld Man Eyes of the SE & Injector Thread.. Glad I didn't Say I would Eat Ma Socks.. Billy..
Ok, so after finding out that it is def an "E", I will have to shave with my other one, the "G" as I found this one to be aggressive and the "G" is supposed to be milder. Hopefully as good as my "I" which I really enjoy shaving with. The only difference I see is that the "E" exposes the blade slightly more than the "G".
You cats killin me ovah heeyah.......We need a Deputy And Billy, leave those socks alone.....Winters comin', you might need them....
