I've not used the Lumberjack soap since mid-April and forgotten how easy it is to make a slick lather. 10 seconds to load and plenty of rich, creamy lather for my shave. Good stuff. If you haven't tried it, you ought to .

Thank you Paul, I didn`t get quite all under the chin(all on one side), and most on the other. With more experience my technique should improve. Your advice helped immensely. I do have a great shave. With the el cheapo Hashir razor and some shea butter, I managed to get a really great 2 pass shave. No. 1 pass was absolutely smooth as silk. Pass 2, only 1 tiny pin prick size red spot on the Kleenex test. Not quite Dolphin smooth, but close. It is what it is. happy Camper all the way.

Razor: Gilette Sterling/Fat Tech handle
Blade: Personna Red (3)

Soap: Nutragena French Milled Soap

Technically, it's "Tech Tuesday", so I decided to use a razor which is technically a Tech. The Sterling (and it's Chinese and Russian counterparts) is a nice, mild razor and worthy of the Tech legacy. (Unlike many similar looking clones.) Replacing the plastic handle with a vintage Tech one seems to give it just about the right feel.

The Personna Red continued to be sharp and the Nutragena was slick. All-in-all, a DFS.

Day two on the Prime and I'd like to find a difference between this one and the ST-300. Given the way they number blades and how confusing it can be on the website I'm not convinced it isn't the same blade just a new wrapper. Some people have accused blade companies of doing that but in most cases I can tell the difference between, say, a Rapira Platinum Lux and Rapira Stainless. On the first day of this blade it seemed like I had just picked up where I left off on Saturday.

Three full passes again today at the higher setting and a better result. Some more details are on my BLOG. Let's just say to sum it up.....near BBS, not sure the blade isn't just repackaged, no blood, and maybe tomorrow will tell.
