A great 3 pass shave this morning. After minimal touch ups the shave ended in a near BBS which is about usual for a work morning. Finished off the shave with matching Route 66 AS Balm. I hope everyone has a great Monday.

 

Excellent photo this morning Clint. A very good choice of equipment today also. Is the handle a little slippery?

Thank you Doug. I don't find the handle slippery but I will say the grip is very similar to a Gillette Common Bar handle.

Menthol Monday
A very nice and cold shave this morning. Cryogen pre shave got the flakes flying, and Krampert's Finest Frostbite soap and aftershave kept it going. I added WSP Tobacco balm because it also has a little menthol. I made two passes with the T.T.C. Premier, then finished with the Futur. I got one weeper on my Adam's apple, otherwise it was drama free.

Witch hazel rinse followed by Nivea Cooling ASB finishing w/a splash of Barbasol Blue

2-passes over the weekend growth for an excellent DFS!

Today's shave was nice. Thumbs-up to the very reasonably priced Frank Shaving silvertip. Cold vision for the Florida heat. The clauss for three passes. Great results, gettin faster too. Finished with iced ice blue.

The Treet Silver blade is nice, got a really smooth, comfortable, close shave. Since it's a carbon steel blade, we'll have to see how long it last but like it today. Hadn't used the Satin Tip brush for awhile and it was better than I recalled. All in all, a fine shave and great start to the day. Now go enjoy your day folks

This was my 18th SR shave in a row and I am really enjoying the close shaves I have been getting. The whole process is feeling more comfortable. I have a nice preshave routine and prep, and the soaps I have been using (primarily Haslinger Schafmilch, MWF and B&M Unscented) are ideally suited to SR shaving. I have been honing my own razors as well and I seem to have reached a point where I can get a good bevel, fine edge with a polished mirror finish. I routinely do two passes and achieve a darn fine shave. A third pass would likely hit BBS, but DFS is good for me.

 

How much was the Frank Brush?

 

This Glacial Wintergreen trio is heavenly - the soap lathered so rich, thick, and slick with an awesome freeze, the matching balm and witch hazel provided tons of additional menthol goodness, not to mention what the Arctique aftershave did to me. My Plissoft synthetic is a champion lather-maker and a new Shark in my Parker R22 gave me an off-the-charts BBS shave!
