  1. One thing to keep in mind is the later version, without a cleaning lever that is, will allow the use of twin blades if you wish to source them. Type I and later iirc. Then there's the Hussy....

  2. Anything after 1960 or so is going to be a good but mild razor. The type E will be the most aggressive/ efficient shave and the G will be milder but very effective.. Earlier models including the D (rare but awesome) and the F (also rare and awesome) provide similar shaves. The later model injector razors are fantastic razors but mild in comparison to the older ones. PM me if you want to try something, I have most of them.

    Happy Shave Den Sunday!
Last week of my July Focus on two non-Schick injector razors:

    PAL InjectoMatic
    Personna Floating Head

Used each on either side of my face with TSD Yin Yang! (My fave)

Using the blade in each razor that worked best for me this month:

PAL InjectoMatic with NOS Dutch Schick blade
Personna Floating Head with NOS Personna *74 blade

Beautiful shave on each side of my face. Slight edge to the PFH for reduction and smoothness. Will be doing this side-by-side assessment all week.

    Cheers!

    Cold water 3.gif

    Blade: GEM Stainless
    Razor: GEM Micromatic OC
    Brush: Trader Joe's synthetic
    Lather: TSD Bay Rum
Post: Witch hazel splash, Renaissance Man Bay Rum, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Evening shave today, and the next several shaves will be at night due to my schedule. This was a nice shave. The TSD Bay Rum was a little more wet than usual but that actually turned out to be a good thing. The MMOC had no trouble taking out 36 hours of growth in one pass with touch-up. The hydrated lather let the razor glide smoothly. I was a little raw after the last shave with this razor but today am feeling pretty good.

    Have a great evening!

  7. I saw that at a store on Saturday. The double strength was labeled "Cologne"
  8. Tony, like others have already mentioned...I'd advise to pick up the first injector razor you can get your hands on for cheap - from G Type on up thru the alphabet.

@Billyfergie sent you the link to the Schick guide to help get you familiar with the Schick history and types.

Also go to a Walgreens, or order from Walgreens online, and get a package of Schick injector blades that come in a plastic yellow pack. These are current manufactured blades (from China) that have been pretty consistent for me and many others here.

Once you get your gear, jump right in and shave away. I found the transition from DEs to Injectors very smooth - as well as nearly every shave since I moved to injectors about a year ago.

One more thing - and probably most important - once you do all that-
    - STAY AWAY FROM THIS THREAD!
Do not get lulled in by the incredible advice, tips and camaraderie you'll find here - they are ENABLERS, the whole lot of them.

Believe me, they sucked me in, and I now own nearly two dozen different injectors!

And then they will start you onto SE Gem types and on and on...

Turn back before it's too late...:signs136:

  10. I have four different types, E, G, I and L. the E was aggressive on me, probably only use it for two pass shaves. the G and L I've gotten great shaves from, but like the I handle better. the L was ok, had to work more for a good shave, but maybe for me it was the longer handle and being used to the shorter handles.

Excellent shave this morning with the Alumigoose razor. This Dr. Bomber handle really stepped it up a notch and made for a very comfortable three pass shave with little effort. This is a fun razor to shave with, the head is so long that watching the shave soap disappear reminds me of those professional window washers with their long squeegee's. Tabac shave stick produced it's wonderful rich, luxurious lather as always. I am dolphin smooth and refreshed. Have a great day friends. :)

    Brush- RazoRock Tri-Colored
    Razor- PAL InjectoMatic
    Blade- Schick
    Soap- Stirling Spice
    Post Care- Crystal Alum
    Thayers Witch Hazel
    Old Spice Lime

Wonderful three pass shave this morning! This razor is almost effortless and I get consistent results with it. First shave including the Old Spice lime so I used my Stirling Spice to complement it. Wonderful lather and scent, Stirling is one of my top two soaps and today it performed beautifully. My face is dolphin smooth and there was zero feedback from the alum. The Old Spice lime felt great going on, no burn, and the alcohol smell settled very quickly so all I'm left with its a wonderful combination of citrus and spice. I love this aftershave. Have a great day folks!

    Today's shave: Monday July 25, 2016

    PAL Injecto-Matic (British made)
    NOS Personna 74 blade (3)
Fine Angel Hair 20mm synthetic brush
Chiseled Face Groomatorium Summer Storm shaving soap & aftershave

Yesterday's shave with the British Injecto-Matic was so enjoyable that I brought it back for an encore. The result was as expected - another great shave.
