Prep - Noxzema / Hot towel
    Pre shave - Proraso
    Razor – Hone 15
    Blade – Sputnik Teflon
Brush - New Forest Tubby 1 Finest
Soap – Phoenix and Beau Denali
    Post - Witch Hazel

Sputnik... uncomfortable in the Weber, and also in the Hone... sharp enough to deliver a DFS, but too tuggy for me..

I tried out a new sample of Sterling Soap's Executive Man today and broke out one of my favorite razors - the PAL Adjustable. The scent is great but I'm going to have to try it again a few times to see if the harsher than usual shave from the PAL was me, the soap, a blade getting old, or some combination of the above. :signs002:

    Outstanding Menthol Monday
This was a smooth operation from start to finish. Cryogen frosted my whiskers in preparation for their fate. My HIS Lather Monster easily made yogurt from Casablanca, and my T.T.C. Premier did an excellent job. I used my Futur for the ATG pass as I'm still figuring out how to bloodlessly do that pass with a straight. Casablanca aftershave left my skin soft and smelling great.

I gave myself an extra dose of super-frigid menthol this morning. First of all the Glacial Lemon Chill soap delivered beautifully on the lovely lemony scent along with its delightfully rich, thick lather and its off-the-charts freeze. The Lemon Chill witch hazel is so cold that it should be called Glacial Lemon Chill instead of just Lemon Chill and is it ever soothing. Finally, the Arctique aftershave splash put a hard-core coating of icicles in my BBS face and neck. Once again, a special thanks to my Plissoft synthetic, my Parker R22, and the new Shark blade for helping to make this great shave possible! :happy088: :happy088:

I`ve been bragging on Lady J(j1 injector), but this morning I used my G4, oh what a difference, after the 1st pass, I thought I was through, my right cheek was as slick if I had already did my 2nd pass, the right cheek was almost as clean. I did 2 passes, 1st pass, WTG, with a small bit of clean up. The 2nd pass, ATG and a more detailed clean up, just to be sure there were no pilot errors. Right now I`m sooo close to a Dolphin smooth skin. I`m beside myself, so there are 2 Happy Campers. Wishing the same for all.

Razor: 58 Executive set on 3
    Blade: Royal Red
    Brush: Stirling Kong
    Soap: Tabac
Post: Cold water rinse, Alum block

For August I have decided to focus on my adjustable Executive and to use blades I have never used before. Today I went for the Royal Red. A completely unknown blade that came from tryablade.com when I decided to just get some random blades. My experience with the blade got off to a really, really bad start when I took one look at the wrapper. :shocked003: Is it also merely coincidence it is blood red? Fortunately the blade was not that bad. It was not great, but it was not bloodletting either.
