Weishi makes a pretty good razor. I can see why some compare it to an Aristocrat. It had a very similar feel to it. It even sounded similar. Overall, another excellent shave.
SHAVE OF THE DAY Prep: Musgo Real orange amber Razor: Icon x3/Maggard MR18C Blade: Gillette Black Brush: RazoRock plissoft Soap: CC Fern/SS Lime Soda Post: Osage Rub/ CC Southern Oud Balm: MLSW Kraken milk 2 pass shave this morning with the Country Club. Has a nice scent and the shave went well. Later on in the day I was bored so I figured I would do a test lather with the Lime Soda to make sure it didn't burn my skin. The lather was so nice I had to do 1 pass with it, very nice lime liquor/soda scent. Got a very nice shave from all the gear used today. Hope everyone had a great shave!
SOTD Aug 02/16 (TTO run) Razor - Gillette Slim adjustable (in case) H3-1962 Brush - Semogue 820 red handle boar 22m 55mm loft Soap - Arko re-contained Bowl - Copper dimpled I find the Slims shave differently than the FB and not because of the weight difference. The angle and even exposure on the same number is different enough to make it worthy in it's own right if not smoother in my hands.
2,5 days worth of stubble, so I opted for the WD boar to lift and massage. It's rather stiff, but not prickly, yet it's still scratchy... confused? Don't be, it feels great on multiple days stubble Been using Astra in the X3 the past shaves, but it doesn't work in this razor, too much "feel" of the blade and irritation to come. Technique, perhaps, but the Vikings Sword however, shines - every-time! Face feels BBS, shave went smooth, overall I left the Den feeling great. Shave well done. Funny thing with the X3, it's so mild I can use it every day, yet so effective it easily mows down several days worth should it occur. It's the first razor I've used that I feel is truly universal on my face, no matter the frequency. Great piece of gear, for a true bargain!
Wednesday's Dove Men Face Wash Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shave Soap Jayaruh #30 Scotch & Stowe w/ Maggard Stainless Fat Handle Astra SP CWR, Asma Alum Block T.N. Dickinson's WH Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla AS The Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #30 silvertip badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Scotch & Stowe razor w/ Maggard Stainless Fat Handle with an Astra SP blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I certainly agree to that. I was bedridden with a lousy flu, and after about 3 days my Mom called in the morning and said "Why not just jump in the shower and have a shave?" After doing both, I felt like a new man.
