SOTD August 3, 2016 Blade: Chinese Schick Razor: Schick Adjustable Injector (on pass-around from @twhite) Brush: Artisan badger Lather: Soap Commander Fortitude Post: Witch hazel splash, Speick, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, minor touch-up Smooth shave with the Schick Adjustable on setting 5. That was my sweet spot for this razor. Setting 3 was too mild, and setting 6 didn't feel quite right. Setting 5 was smooth and comfortable. Soap Commander Fortitude is excellent stuff. Great scent, exceptional lather, great post-shave feel. Thanks to @twhite for loaning out this razor to any who want to try it. Generosity like that is what makes TSD such a great place! Have a great day!
Beautiful picture as always. How do you like the Snake Bite? I've read it has no scent except for menthol. Does it have good skin healing properties? I'm looking for a heavily mentholated aftershave that I can either apply scent over the top or that is scented with a nice barbershop scent that has good skin healing properties. Open to any and all suggestions.
You probably wont find a more heavily-mentholated aftershave splash. I love the stuff, but the name is fitting: it's like a post-shave slap in the face. Biting method cold with a tingly burn. No fragrance can be a plus. Some may find it too antiseptic feeling (and drying). After the snakebite, I'd add a soothing and scented balm if my skin needed more conditioning.
