Received two things in the mail earlier this week: 1) A Hempel Titanium handle for the King Cobra This was really interesting to me as it's the first titanium handle I've used. Excellently crafted Here it is next to the stock KC handle: And, of course, with the KC head mounted on it. I really like it 2) An eShave badger brush in clear handle I like this handle shape the knot has a surprising amount of backbone taking how it is set into consideration It's a tad larger than my 10 year old eShave brush
Its quite a bit lighter than it looks, huh? Ive had glasses and watches, they always amaze me how light they feel. Ive also found a few wedding rings, paper light.
I was actually surprised that it didn't feel lighter than it did (which worked out well for me). If I had to swag it/guess I'd say it feels about twice as heavy as an aluminum version would feel.
I took a chance on this Eversharp-Schick G that I saw on EBay. It looked like it was gunked up with soap. It arrived today. Here are the before shots. I removed the blade for cleaning. Here it is after a good cleaning. It cleaned up very nicely.
Looks great, Jim! Cleaned up very nicely. I want a navy handled injector some day, or one of the turquoise type handles. Those are great looking.
I came home to find this Stirling AS with menthol added and Rod included a soap sample. The AS should compliment the Eskimo Tuxedo nicely.
Not shaving related - but received my 4G BanditApple notebooks in the mail. Great colours and sizes. One of them will go into my bag for tomorrow
That's good to hear it didn't smell bad. Sometimes vintage A/S can be hit or miss. Menthol crystals are always nice to have on hand to add to aftershave or soaps.
