I use Flitz to polish brass and other metals. Brasso will work, but it's more abrasive. To help keep it shiny afterwards, you can use a good car wax to help keep it from tarnishing and it helps if you use those soft cotton gloves to keep the oils from fingerprints off of it.

You should see if they are brass or dull gold plate first

They look like they are gold plated. Hot soapy water soak. Guarantee easiest on gold.

Nice catch. You did well. I use Flitz as well.

Well I gave one of the razors a soak in water and dish soap, cleaned most of the grime off but the finish is still dull. Is there a way to polish it up a bit without damaging the finish?

If it's brass, use Flitz. I noticed the second one you have is identical to a set I have and mine is brass.

Thanks, I'll give Flitz a shot. Do you use it on other razors as well?

Just about everything, but I keep away from gold plated razors. Use a jewelers cloth for those.

Exactly, the gold that was used on most Gillette razors is so thin, almost anything will hurt it.
Jewellers cloth, might be gentle. Test it in a small area first.
I got a polishing cloth from Razor Emporium, a couple years ago, and the chemicals in it stripped the gold wash off a couple of razors.

I've cleaned all my razors with Scrubbing Bubbles.

1 - It eats soap scum
    B - It disinfects
Third - It leaves the razor nice and shiny

Just make sure you get the scrubbing bubbles without bleach.

Yea I use scrubbing bubbles on all razors except the ones with gold or brass finish.

I've never had a problem with Scrubbing Bubbles on gold finished razors, or any razor.
I have heard that if left to soak, SB will take the finish off gold plated razors and the color off the Lady Star Gillettes. I've also heard it will take the black out of the numbers on the adjustable razors such as the Fatboy and Slim.
As I said, I've never had a problem. But then again, I don't let the razors soak too long. Here's how I do it:

Open up TTOs and disassemble 3-piece razors.
Place razors and pieces is small Tupperware bowl.
Spray SB over razors to completely cover with foam.
Let sit until foam dissipates (3-5 minutes)
Flip razors and pieces, spray and cover again with SB.
    Let sit until foam dissipates.
Scrub with soft toothbrush, toothpick in the nooks and crannies, if needed.
    Rinse with hot water.
    Wipe dry with towel.
On the TTOs, a couple drops of light weight machine oil down the barrel from the top, a drop or two into the bottom of the handle, a drop at the hinge points.
Work the TTO a few times, wipe of excess oil.

The above has been done with my gold plated razors, my Lady Stars, my Gillette adjustables - all with zero loss to any finish.
